"epic yet sad" eh? There best bet at inspiration for such a soundtrack is the Shadow of the Colossus OST.

I really want people to stop using epic to describe things, it's kind of a given for most games. Try some new words, like 'Boneriffic'

Castlevnaia is one of my favorite series, but one thing I always wished was that there were more vampires. Or any, really, besides the Count himself.

Anyway, the music has always been great, and I expect very good things from this one.

Already in love with the music on the 10 minute long E3 trailer.

The music from the trailer certainly seems promising. I just hope they can manage to make the soundtrack memorable rather than the generic "cinematic-yet-forgettable" sound everyone goes for these days.

All of those tunes are so very memorable...I used to have the Clock Tower and Coloseum themes as ringtones...even though to me the Coloseum music always sounded like grocery store music, the bassline got in your head and stayed there.

Those are bold words to me considering the music of Castlevania games are one of the major defining characteristics of the series. I am open minded, however, considering the music has changed a lot over the years. On the other hand, the music trailer seemed like pretty typical epic movie music. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, I just hope for something more, something that stands out.

While I like epic movie tracks, I also love the catchy and iconic Castlevania songs.

I think LoS is a bold attempt at making Castlevania relevant on consoles again. In regards to the original "style", I think Iga's proven that the post SotN formula isn't going anywhere on handhelds.

No one ever says you have to damn one (and toss a goblet at it) in order to enjoy the other. I'm quite optimistic over everything I've seen so far with this. Besides, the people that are supposed to know what they're doing gave us Castlevania Judgement.

If I can just get one concrete assurance that the Iga-produced Metroidvania-style games - with their consistently awesome soundtracks and established continuity - will continue to be made, I will totally be willing to look forward to Lords of Shadow with an open mind.

With Kojima riding shotgun this will be the game that brings Castlevania back to glory. Not like that BS fighting game that only added to the tarnish of the series.

This game will be mine... since... lets admit, it looks pretty God of War-ish, and I don't have God of War-ish game (I know there's a word for this genre... but you get my point.)

This game could bring a lot to the genre, though, if it's all that I hope for. If pays good tribute to Castlevania's 2D glory while being innovative with Kojima at the helm, that is. Can't wait to see how it plays.

I'm on board for at least the demo if nothing else. This game looks to have a lot of promise, and most of the screenshots look great so far.
