Psychonauts only costs $2 until Thursday on Steam

Stand up. Walk over to your couch, and remove its cushions. Stick your hand into the exposed crevasses of your sofa, taking care not to lose any fingers in any reclining mechanisms which may be hiding within your chair. Dig out eight quarters, or twenty dimes, or forty nickels, or two-hundred pennies, or any combination of these denominations which add up to 200 cents.

Deposit your recently excavated horde in your bank account, or the bank account of a trusted friend or relative. Access Steam, and use these funds to purchase Psychonauts, which, until tomorrow, only costs 200 cents. Download the game, and play it. When you get a free moment, return the cushions to your couch, so it can collect more funds for the next time Steam slashes the price on one of our favorite games ever.

I'm in the same boat to some extent. I been wanting this game for quite some time but always procrastinated on getting it. I can't pass this deal up though.

I simply didn't like it. Great writing and art style but in terms of game mechanics it was not polished. Especially for a platformer that needs a precision feel.

Steam is the best thing ever. How could someone possibly justify pirating such a great game when it costs as much as a sandwich? Steam is a buoy that helps stall the decline of PC gaming...

In all fairness, a sandwich is more filling. And sometimes I get a free cookie at my local Subway.

$2 is a very tempting deal, despite the fact that I have never actually played this game...

Review should help you. This full game is cheaper then the majority of DLC out there! Heck, I bought a coffee last night that cost more then this game. :(

Also, played it a bit with my 360 pad and works great... so far. :)

i always wanted to get this, but when it was released it would have cost me 150 US where i live, simply a no no.

i moved, and my X-box dissapeared, so i might as well get it for 2 dollars.

I'm up to 8 games on steam now that I've bought on sale, and never played. Having beaten Psychonauts before and enjoying every minute of it, I can't really see playing through it again any time soon. But the ability to just have it digitally, and contribute to the creators... that's hard to pass up.

This game is amazing. If you don't buy this game right now, you just don't like games. End of story. I have a copy on Xbox but I think I'm buying it again just to have a computer version ready.

At least you got some artwork with your purchase! Also, no DRM! I bought Beyond Good and Evil on gog.com instead of Steam during the Christmas sales even though it was a few more bucks since it came with the soundtrack, wallpapers and artwork. Well worth it!

I've already played the Xbox version, but maybe I'll pick this up to replay it with better graphics. Hmmmm...

In the UK it's £1, this is less than it cost me to get the bus into town this morning... suffice to say I've bought it, thanks Steam.

I've never played this game (*gasp*) but for $2 I'll try any game that has garnered such a huge following. Does that make me a tool?

No, it just makes you a very lucky gamer! The whole time playing it, you will think to yourself, "did I really only spend $2 on this?" It reminds me of the time I picked up this "lady friend" in the rough parts of the city on one lonely night...

This game needs to be a Deal of the Week for XBL. Not because it needs to be cheaper, but because it would get more people interested in a great game.

I've always heard good things about this game. I played through the demo last night and bought it this morning. Very fun of what i played. At least it's not like Beyond Good and Evil, where everyone says it's such an awesome game, but turns out to be dogshit boring.

Bought it. Need to get this off my list of shame and I'll probably never get around to buying the Xbox version.

Obligatory whine that the $ to EUR conversion rate is not 1:1 but on Steam it is. Still, EUR 2 for this game seems like a steal.

Please buy this game. It's worth so much more than it used to cost at FULL PRICE. At $2, this is almost a joke. Just goddamn get it.

can anyone explain to me how hooking an xbox 360 controller to a computer works? is it plug and play, or do i have to do anything? because i can't stand playing pc games on my laptop keyboard.

You just have to install the 360 controller software google will show you where.

I was hoping it would go on sale during the holiday sale but it never showed up. Glad I waited :)
