If you've been playing Bayonetta on PS3, there's a chance you've been making sandwiches just as often as you've been vanquishing virtual angels. We admire your productivity during the loading screens, but perhaps it's time to accept the aid of Sega and Platinum Games. The developer has confirmed the worldwide availability of a title update that allows the game to be installed to the hard drive. All you have to do is boot up your game and you'll be prompted to download the update.
Of course, you've also been known to make sandwiches during installations, so ... well, they must be really delicious at this point. That's a win, no matter what.

No, I'm afraid of men in tights.
I did make me one though, a ham and pepperjack cheese grilled sandwich. Delicious.

Tights? That's my skin and the red parts are a ceremonial tattoo given to me during my Bar Mitzvah in which the day after my entire tribe was completely wiped out by tree lodgers leaving me to be the last of my kind. Feel good now? Asshole.
And yes, I'm Jewish. Now shut up and make me my damn sandwich.
AND GET ME SOME CHOCOLATE MILK.

Now, now, now, not EVERYTHING that is developed and/or published by Sega sucks... just most of it.
Case in point, take a look at titles like Yakuza 3 or Valkyria Chronicles on the developer side. And then you have Empire: Total War, Bayonetta, MadWorld, HotD: Overkill, Alpha Protocol (which I'm crossing my fingers for), etc, on the publisher side.

The other problems with the PS3 version are barely problems at all. The frame rate is fine the vast majority of the time and you don't notice the slightly washed out colours unless you're watching a side-by-side comparison with the 360 version. The load times are the only real nuisance.
Really, anyone bitching about the PS3 version after this patch (assuming it works the way it should) is just a dumbass console warrior.

'Cos they wouldn't make money in Japan where the PS3 version outsold the 360 version big time.

The patch didn't do anything, the game is still horrible on the PS3. They should have kept this a 360 exclusive.

Thats wrong.
It improved loading times.
For example, I didn't get any "loading" when receiving an item.
So, "The patch didn't do anything" is wrong.
But I have confirmed that tearing still remains.
Personally, it was the loading times which prevented me from playing the game.
So I'm personally satisfied.

So are you still going to need the disc for start up or is this going to be "Borrow it from your buddy for a few minutes and get a free game"?

Is this a serious question? NOONE is gonna make it NOT require the damn disc. People these days and the dumb questions..

I would assume that there will be safeguards in place but it sounds like this patch is basically letting you rip the game to your hd. And yes, dumb questions do get asked, but occasionally dumber mistakes are made.

This patch has nothing to do with saving games onto the hard drive so that a disc won't be needed. This is just so that the system will have to read less from the disc, which will lower loading times. I believe you thought it would be something like how the 360 lets people save their games onto their HD, but it has nothing to do with that.
