DS sells 125 million worldwide, Wii up to 67 million

As someone whose priorities for a gaming console are a console that can have Mario and Zelda on it at some stage, I'm glad that Nintendo is doing well if it means I can continue getting what I want from consoles.

This brings the DS attach rate to 5.5 units of software sold per console sold, and the Wii's to 7.56 units of softward sold per console sold. That should settle some of the extremely old numbers you'll hear thrown about by trolls during #s discussions.

It's really sad that "tmac" continues to troll, trying to assert some authority of opinion simply b/c he claims to have a wii. And for the record, while I don't post much, I've been reading Joystiq for years and his whole "I was making anti-wii statements to gauge peoples reactions undercover for a thesis paper" was the most pompous and troll-minded thing I've ever seen on the internet.

The fact that he continues to come back after bans and infect this Joystiq community and virtually every Nintendo-related discussion is really sad. I know for a fact that many people have gone on to other blogs and sites because they just tire of his trite crap which takes away from so many discussions about Nintendo-anything and gaming in general.

Back to the numbers, they continue to impress. It would be interesting to see DSi specific numbers -- it's been a while since I saw them, but my impression is that the lil machine really took off more than bloggers were expecting it to!

I finally upgraded from my DS Phat to a DSi. I love it!. But now every time I insert and eject a game I get scared with this weird scratch sound. I guess its new gadget paranoia and it will wear off eventually xD!
