This says End Of Eternity! I've been lied to!

Ah, I'll watch this tomorow, I'm going to bed, someone tell me how it is.

This makes absolutely no sense. They fall from the rope then appear thousands of feet higher than they were previously and it it suddenly night.

It was night in the clip, and they're on a large structure that is high in the air, it's pretty obvious from the start screen. They've fallen completely off that and towards the surface.

I know watching things and paying attention at the same time is really hard, so it's not your fault.

no way they were that high up when they fell they were like in the atmosphere....it was confusing...and why were they talking gibberish? (jk for those of you with no sense of humor)

tri-Ace is a weird one to peg. they've been responsible for the largely forgetable Radiata Stories, Infinite Undiscovery and Till The End of Time, but Resonance of Fate is looking closer to the Valkyrie Profiles-end of their spectrum. hopefully it'll deliver.

Whoa whoa whoa, Radiata Stories was awesome. It was a very fun, light-hearted RPG. I know, opinions, blah blah, but come on! Infinite Undiscovery was horrific, however.

Hopefully this game will be up there with the Valkyrie Profiles. I think my heart might explode if it's even half as good as Valkyrie Profile 2.

@ Rein - You tell him, Radiata Stories was a great and brilliant RPG...it was a good change of paste to have an RPG with dialogue that was humourous and most entertaining. Shame it doesn't get the props it deserves.

+1 to you Sir Rein!

This still looks much better than FFXIII and seems like it won't fall into the same cliches as most JRPG's. Plus it's nice to have a JRPG come out that focuses on guns instead of giant swords.

I played the Japanese demo of this and while I'm sure part of the blame on what I'm about to say falls on my lack of understanding the Japanese language, but... the battle system just did not seem fun. It was basically run over there near the enemy, jump and go hog wild on shooting guns, then land and do the same thing with the next character. There were combo moves available as well, where you can string together multiple character's moves for massive damage, but that really wasn't necessary as the mobs really didn't hurt you all that much.

It just seemed too chaotic and not very streamlined.

I agree with Araman. It was chaotic although, i'm pretty sure they'll summarize and explain everything better in the retail version of this game. in any case, FFXIII is much prettier than this game and with the exception of FFXIII (because I don't remember much about xii's battle system), all other FFs I have played don't involve mashing.

If only ChronoTrigger was in High Def.

Yea, doing the same thing over and over and over, in FF games, or any other random battle encounter RPG, doesn't get old at all. Let bash this game for doing the same thing.

The city is build around a tower. The reason being that poisonous gases pollute the land below so they have to be high up to not be affected.

since i just got done playing their other game star ocean, i bet that the story is going to blow and be full of so many cliches that you'll just start skipping the cut scenes.

Oh 360 UI, must you always ruin any sense of cohesive atmosphere in every game which calls your system home?

"You wanna save your games here? On this hard drive? Hey, what about this memory card? OK hard drive...you sure? I'll ask you again next time just in case."

Oh see you were talking about the title screen of this game in this video where as I was talking about every time you boot up every 360 game ever. So yes once; once per game per session...well unless you save/load frequently like in say a RPG then it's many many times per game per session no matter how many times you've pointed it to your device of choice.

Oh and don't forget DLC which can also prompt you as to where it should/does live.

Oh and Indie games which ask where and then save all in one directory anyways even for demos in which you are supposedly not allowed to save/load at all.

"Dude right here? This is it right? Wait, did you change your mind this time? Nope. OK how about now? Dude come on external memory unit? Internal memory unit? See I knew that you'd wanna change...oh that was an accident? How about now? Now? And now?"

did anyone else see the blatant rip-off of FF9? the scene where zidane is escaping from steiner (and possibly chasing after garnet, don't remember)?

I was thinking the same thing. It's like an FF9 plot, but instead of Garnet and Zidane... it had Rinoa and Tidus.

I'm more excited about this game than FFXIII, at least after the reviews i read. However, i would buy both. I also wish they would release ff9 at the psn store, happy times those would be.

First time leaving a comment on here but thought it was needed. IMO (for those of you who have jap psn acccounts and played the demo) was it just me or did the graphics seem not up to par when roaming freely and then switch to crisp during action scenes? Im not trying to trash the game but just wanted to know others opinions

Anybody know if there is a world to explore in this game? Or is it just running from point A to B with battles and cuts scenes tossed in?

Well i played the demo and there wasnt any free roaming world to exlpore in it. but of course its only a demo so yea, but on the battle note you fight in an area seperated into smaller areas. you clear each smaller area and then run to the end to start the next area(kind of got old for me). also during action scenes when your attacking the visuals are nice but during free battle movement you can tell they really took away from the visuals to keep the fast paced gameplay running smooth.
