You tease me with a new Kirby Super Star... isn't this the same Kirby game that's been rumored since 2000?

I just knew there was going to be a new Kirby title this year! Every year since 2000-2006, there was a Kirby game released. Now since 2006 we've been getting one every two years.

2000 - Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (N64)
2001 - Kirby: Tilt n' Tumble (GBC)
2002 - Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland (GBA)
2003 - Kirby Air Ride (GCN)
2004 - Kirby & the Amazing Mirror (GBA)
2005 - Kirby: Canvas Curse (DS)
2006 - Kirby: Squeak Squad (DS)
2008 - Kirby: Super Star Ultra (DS)
2010 - Kirby (Wii?)

Hopefully, HAL Laboratories has another Kirby game in the works for DS slated for release next year if this new Kirby is indeed for the Wii.

I suspect thats why it was listed as a title "we expected to see soon". Kirby Wii is not vaporware as many people believed it to be, it's just been in slow development.

Xenoblade (Wii, Spring 2010)

Mike, why do you put hope into the souls of Xenosaga fans?... My God, it would be the best surprise ever, but they been using KOS-MOS for the Super Robot Taisen franchise on the DS...

Though she deserves to have a full-fledged game... if only.

It's like Nintendo is trying to remind you that they don't only have Mario games with the title Metroid: Other M. It looks good though.

Other M in the summer? I was expecting it closer to holiday release. Couldn't be happier, the summer is usually pretty sparse when it comes to good titles.

It definitely makes sense to release it during summer because Nintendo likely will want Mario Galaxy 2 for a holiday release.

I always had it pegged at August, but presumed they'd be releasing Galaxy 2 even sooner than that. The game is done, or very nearly so.

Xenoblade? I'm hopeful that it will be related to the Xenosaga games cause I miss that series. What scares me is the word "blade" in the title. I hope it's not another on-rails game with a sword.

Metroid better come out this year!

They mistakenly meant a new Kirby game. Not necessarily a remake/sequel to Super Star.

"Hoshi no Kirby" has been the Japanese title for ALL Kirby games, not just Kirby Super Star.

Line Attack Heroes sounds incredibly interesting: I imagine a 1-D game, in which one dot moves toward another dot, and the hero dot makes the evil dot disappear.

If you say a dot is actually 2D or some shit, I will find and kill you.

I would argue that 1D can only truly exist in a theoretical sense. You see, anything we draw is going to immediately have a width. It may be a width too fine for the human eye to see, but it will have a width alright. That's just my way of thinking though.

And hey, if it's only 1D what are the options? Move left/right? Shoot left right? Never jump? Your only means of counter attack is to *drum roll please!* move left/right or shoot left/right.

Odd that they have a time-frame for Other M, but not for Galaxy 2. The latter seemed far closer to completion back at E3, given that the trailer for it was almost entirely gameplay footage, while Other M had maybe 10 seconds of gameplay, and was mostly GC.

They might be holding it back for concern for interfering with NSMBWii, but it should be done, or close to it.

Not that I don't trust you, but would you mind sourcing some of these to links? I'm getting a little annoyed with how the word "Confirmed" is being thrown around with only the flimsiest of justifications (not specifically in this instance but in the tech-blog world at large, most notably with the whole Apple thing from this past week) and am fighting a pointless, fruitless, futile one-man-war to try to get people to cite their sources again.

I'm a little worried that having a Monolith-developed game prefaced with "Xeno" is going to create a tremendous amount of confusion if it in fact has no connection to either Xenosaga or Xenogears. Not that it's gonna stop me from getting it, but from what little I've heard here and at other game blogs Monado wasn't connected at all to Monolith's other work.

Slightly related: maybe it's just that nobody has a whole lot of info about Monado in the first place. It very well could be related to the Xeno series if the Wikipedia article is anything to go by (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monado:_Beginning_of_the_World), which says the trailer "shows a futuristic sword wielding character battling giant robots and creatures".

Sounds like a Xeno game to me.

Eh, I dunno.

While the description sounds like Xeno, the trailer itself shows the robots and they don't look nearly like anything shown in past games. Though, considering the Xeno series tends to be all over the place, its possible its just in a separate part of the game's universe. Hard to tell though based simply off that video.

The engine's obviously finished since well, it was basically the Mario Galaxy engine, right? (Okay some new features.) So they can show off complete gameplay footage of levels they've developed - doesn't necessarily mean that they've finished. Mario Galaxy had a LOT of levels, most of which were really well designed and tuned. It wouldn't surprise me if they decided to keep polishing it until the end of the year (or just hold it even if it's finished, so they have something to sell next christmas when, er I mean if, Zelda is delayed).

First of all, if Metroid: Other M comes out this summer, I'll eat my hat.

Secondly, if Metroid, SMG, and LoZ ALL release this year, I will name my first born either Samus Aran ----- (girl) or Luigi Mario ----- (boy).

I think both my digestive system and my children's self esteem are going to remain WELL intact.

That's a great freakin' line-up. Since it's for Japan, it's likely we''ll see a few other Wii titles in the West (last years Punch-Out and ExciteBots for example, weren't slated for JPN) as well as most of these.

It also leaves out nintendo publishing/marketing 3rd party releases like Monster Hunter 3, and a few gems that they go last year that we should be getting this year -- ahem * Sin & Punishment 2 * ahem -- as well as titles we know we're getting like Endless Ocean 2, WiiWare games, and titles coming out in Japan really soon that we should cross our fingers for like the Cero-D (Mature)-rated and badass looking Zangeki no Reginleiv!
