We told you about our experience with the just-announced Apple iPad yesterday; this morning, we'll show you, by way of the above video. You'll note that both Need for Speed Shift and NOVA are the same non-iPad versions available on the App Store today – the enhanced versions shown during the keynote are works-in-progress and weren't available to demo. On the down side, the versions we played included the "2X" upscale button; on the up side, they benefited from the larger screen and increased tilt sensitivity.
While the above video isn't representative of what the iPad is capable of, it is representative of how we think many iPhone owners will use the device, since iPhone and iPad games won't be cross-compatible.

Why does this thing remind me of Penny's (from Inspector Gadget) computer "book"?

Because it's the same thing. But Penny didn't need a data plan.
You know what's going to happen? Someone will hinge to iPad's together and show the awesomeness of TWO glass screens working together to act like...wait for it...A LAPTOP!
Can't wait for that mod.

If a keyboard can be connected to the iPad, modders will sooner or later adapt a gamepad for it...
Wait... is the mod community interested in this??

That doesn't even look amuzing. All the guy being interviewed keeps saying is "no it doesn't come with that."

The iPad is such a piece of junk. I can't wait for weak-willed consumers to flock to the stores and lay down 500 bucks for a 16gig hunk of plastic that can do all the things (and less!) that your laptop could. But whoa wait YOU CAN TOUCH IT! OooooooOooooh TOUCH, I get it now, what a wonderful thing, TOUCH! 500 dollars, wipe your greasy palms all over the iPad, how amazing!

I can't stand the iPad, but those of you who are wanting one with a FULL OS and Multi-tasking, and the ability to use flash..... Jan 7th Balmer showed off the Windows tablets, yet no one really remember these. Guess there wasn't so much hype around anything Microsoft shows, shame.

Why not just google the HP Slate or Archos or Pegatron. All fully functional tablets :-)

Thanks for posting. People are very excited about apple iPad. Apple always comes up with something new and innovative. Playing games is real fun. Browsing the web is fun. The keyboard is very spacious and comfortable. The screen is quite huge and watching movies is real fun. People will enjoy listening to music on this ipad. It can store names, numbers and many other data. It is a good entertainer. For more details refer http://www.techsoft.org/apple-ipad-a-vision-finally-comes-true.html

I do not know what Apple is thinking but it seems they decided to take a fancy iPod Touch device, enlarge it and call it iPad. On the face of it, I think the only difference is that for iPad you need a bag and for iPod Touch your pocket will do.

Crusade Of Destiny is going to great on iPad. The best RPG on iPhone. It's full 3D and one of the games that I can't wait to see!
