I played DA:O on my PS3, and honestly did not find that the graphics were bad. I thought they were pretty good, truly. But I suppose I put more weight on the amazing character development, complex plot choices, and overall awesomeness. Hmm. I guess games really have to be PERFECT nowadays, don't they? Anyhow, I am looking forward to Dragon Age 2. Hopefully it will meet (or exceed) expectations.

Look it is like said, it is not just the graphics / ART STYLE which are abysmal. People who say this is the best rpg they ever played just have only other bioware games to compare it with. I understand if you're heavily into the whole Lotr / WoW setting you might find the story very appealing. However even besides it's baby-vommit evirements and milked out storyline there is something inherently bad about this game. lemme give you a summary,

*brown-red-yellow bland coloring
*not being able to cross 2 feet ledges, my god!
*lifeless face expressions
*invisible wall everywhere
*nothing happens in envirement ( no leafs falling, puddles of water forming cirkles when you step on them, common this is the basic stuff to draw a player into the envirement!!! )
*horrible english accent on every character ( i played as human noble once and the guy kept saying: "do you need a ladder to get off my back" :S i started biting my hand to not scream about it.
*Loading time
*having to travel through lifeless envirements again and again after killing the enemies
* you'll spend a lot of time in menu's and or dialoque

sorry but the list can go on. I just don't understand why fanboys can't see these FACTS ?!? like i said they only have other bioware game to compare with.

Interesting opinion. Given the silly, knit-picking content of your post I'm honestly having a hard time determining if you're serious or not.

Oh well. I've been playing games on various platforms for over 20 years...hundreds of them...with a good percentage of those being RPGs. There's no way in a zillion years anyone could call me a fanboy, and I enjoyed DA:O quite a bit.

Dragon Age is a specific type of game. It's a stat-based RPG with tactical combat and a compartmentalized environment. If you don't like either of those things, or if you can't enjoy a game if it has graphical issues (like Oblivion didn't have graphical issues...lol), then Dragon Age isn't for you. The view that a game must "suck" if it doesn't happen to fall into your narrow field if interest is a very immature one.
