Yeah well if Sony would just call LBP "Little Big Planet Playstation" maybe I'd stop mistakenly shoving it in my Wii.

Shit has always sold. And most games have always been shit. Only when we were kids and played them, they didn't seem like it. Guess who the market still is primarily? Kids.

I'm sure Nintendo is a great company, but they are so focused on making these big cash cows that every grandparent/dumb cousing in the world owns that they have stopped almost entirely from making good games.
I wish they stopped milking Metroid and Mario already and push some new IP's
They have potential and big leyends in the industry, but they are swimmming in their cash pools all day long they have forgotten how to make a new game deeper than a glass of water :P

I dont care if they release 20 mario games this year, thats fine
i love meario, but that guy is really old. And i'm sure nintendo can create a new character.
They can make all the money they want. And perhaps invest in something new.

@Raffi

If you're referring to the NintendoDS catalog, yes.

The Nintendo Wii? There's a few in there, but it's mostly junk.

Nintendo is just recycling the same business practices it used when us gamers were enjoying the NES at 5 years old. They're not evolving with us and they're just selling slightly more stylized versions of the games we played 15-20 years ago to the same age group. It's just something we have to accept.

They've been making new IPs, problem is that nobody wants to buy them cause obviously all Nintendo makes is mario games.

I don't wish Nintendo any ill will. As long as casual titles can exist side by side with more "gamer" centered titles, I'm happy.

I just want to know who thought it was a good idea to post the figures in 'tens of thousands'. So awkward, ha ha..

In Japanese 'ten thousand' is a single unit (万), just like, say 'million' is a unit in English. So it's not awkward - in fact, less awkward than a million, which is 'a hundred ten thousands' (百万). Explained!

(Of course, that wouldn't stop somebody translating it into a more natural unit for English, given that we're reading this in English, but eh, whatever.)

Well thanks for the education, compadré! I didn't get enough years in my Japanese class to pick that one up!

This isn't surprising. What is surprising, is that Brain Age is still in the top 12. It came out like 10 years ago!

I'm guessing you forgot about:

Mario Galaxy
Super Paper Mario
Zelda: Twilight Princess
Resident Evil 4
Metroid Prime 3 / Trilogy
All the Guitar Hero Games
Call of Duty 5
Disaster: Day of Crisis
Okami
De Blob
Mad World
FFIV: The After Years
Pikmin 1 & 2 Remakes
Tony Hawk Downhill Jam
Super Smash Bros Brawl
The Conduit
Zack and Wiki
Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World
RE: Darkside Chronicles
House of the Dead: Overkill
FF:CC My Life As A King
FF:CC My Life As A Darklord
Dead Space: Extraction
Battalion Wars 2
Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3
Muramasa: The Demon Blade
Geometry Wars: Galaxies
Trauma Centre (both)
No More Heroes
Lost Winds
World of Goo
Deadly Creatures

Yeah some of them aren't Nintendo titles, but also some are. You act like the only good games on the Wii have the word Wii in them.

I think they would have trouble going back in time and not making those games, generally change is done in the future.

You're actually proving his point there Foetoid. All of the games on that list that are by Nintendo are all either Wiimakes or IP from at least last generation, except for Disaster, which never made it out of Japan.
