Modern Warfare 2 patch incoming tonight

I'm actually really glad that this patch is coming out. For the past few days i've been running more and more into people using the bling models or using the care package glitch. I was in a lobby with my friend who kept using it and had a ridiculous amount of air support throughout the whole match. Unfortunately though, i still don't think this game will have as long of a lifespan for me as COD4 did. There is just a handful of things about this game that get under my skin. That and bioshock 2 and FF13 is coming out in a month or two so those will be big time absorbers.

Like I said, it would go PC-PS3-360.

Too bad, 360 owners! How's that 50 a year for a 'better service' treating you?

Glitches like that are exactly why I shelved MW2 and moved on to other games.

I downloaded the patch earlier (I live in the UK) and my PS3 kept freezing when I went into games. Now that its been taken down, does it mean I can play again or do I have to wait for it to be released again?

I own this for PC, but I'm currently playing BC2(on 360 and PC both), and its just blowing me away. Its so damn epic! I mean shooting people out of midair, sniping WHILE landing on the ground, the gravity system, all of it is amazing. Day one purchase for me, just not sure what system, PC, 360, or PS3?

This game is going to start developing scar tissue...

I cannot wait to move-on from MW2 to BFBC as a result of the numerous akimbo shotgunners speeding around ruining the game. My hope is this patch somehow fixes some of the issue. I cannot believe something so unbalanced made it into the final product.

While I seriously love this game I am extremely happy they are (slowly) patching this up. The only way to deal with the akimbo SOB's is to play their own game. Now perhaps we won't have to stoop to their level

In my opinion the 1887 fix wasn't necessary. To be totally frank most akimbo weapons with FMJ are gonna be powerful. See G18s, Uzi, Handguns etc. The 1887 WAS ridiculous when the game first came out ; see youtube if your not convinced. But after the first patch for it - the gun was alot more balanced.

This just seems like IW are caving in to the wave of noobs who don't understand the concept of different styles of gameplay. Either rush them so fast that they are dead before they have a chance to react or sit back and pick them off from a distance. Most tactics inbetween result in getting buttfcuked - other than silenced weapons :D

Great. that was getting tiresome. An ok idea, but abused too early and too heavily.

it has'nt been pulled yet . after reading that it had i deleted the patch then restarted mw2 in hope that it would say download 1.07 but instead it just came up with 1.08 again and its still broken

has it came for the xbox the patch???
