I imagine you'll own the highscore in this game. Since you're used to balls flying at your face.

One of these guys, either Sony or MS, is going to lose with this. Like Highlander, there can only be one. They can't really make multi-platform games for these can they? They are completely different ideas/concepts. It will be nothing but exclusives for each system and whoever has the better games (paired with the better controls) will win. I don't see either one being a giant success, but I do see one of these not performing as well as the other.

Well in such a situation it would probably be the PS3, simply because of the similarity to the Wii Remote. That means more ports to/from the Wii, which would help cut costs at least somewhat.

We'll probably start seeing engines being built that take advantage of the PMC/Wiimote while allowing them to cheaply port the games back and forth.

I really hope someone comes up with a cool way to implement Natal into an awesome first person game or some kind of RPG, rather that a bunch of party type games. A combination of Natal with a regular controller could be awesome!

God's honest truth, I bought Dead Space because of the 3D hud/interface. The game didn't really interest me before I saw that in the videos (and it turned into one of my favorite games this gen, whadayaknow). That being said, I don't see the point in 3Dificationifying the game when it already does a much better job of showcasing how cool real 3D technology could be.

I think Peter Moore is a pretty cool guy. eh kills aleins and doesn't afraid of anything.

But seriously he's a great guy, met with him at work before.

Mirror's Edge with 3-D and Natal support will lead to more broken furniture than a 70s rock star hotel room.

But I can finally justify filling my living room with a ball pit like I've wanted to do since I was like 7.

Is 3D really on the gaming radar? We don't really have anything other than the discussion that it's coming [to TV and video], and that it would require certain TV specifications and apparently special glasses. Assuming it is introduced, you have to figure it'll be a while before it would become mainstream, or until there's a sufficient audience in order to sink development costs to recover your investment. I think the differences alone in TV technology from vendor to vendor could be an obstacle (is there even a standard yet among manufacturers?), unless they force everyone to buy the same kind of TV, which doesn't seem practical. I don't know, the logistics of making this happen right now don't seem to be there. But, I guess, you have to start somewhere....

I'm inclined to believe they will cost $100+ be because I actually do my research.

And those glasses I linked you to, those are the cheapest ones available by about $500.

Not that I'm not excited to see what Sony and MS do with their motion stuff, but I think 3D would be a more straightforward "win" for gaming. More so than in movies, it would really enhance the immersion, and also allow for subtle gameplay enhancements that could involve the extra dimension.

And even for games that can't figure out how to use it innovatively, it would still enhance the visuals. I had all kinds of hopes for motion when the Wii came out, but nobody seems to be doing anything right, so my pessimism is carrying over to the Sony/MS initiatives.

Just to nitpick a lil' bit:
Anyone notice all of the basketballs are on the same rotation at the same angle?
Not very dynamic there.

3D is probably here to stay but not before regular people with a regular income can buy a 3D-tv.

The prices on the 3D-tv's coming in a few months wil be realy high. The little man on the street cant afford these tv's...

When you can buy a 3D tv for almost the same price as a regular tv the 3D revolution wil come. And regarding games I cant imagine game companies want to use much time on it...since just a little group can use it....
