Hola señoras y señores:
Just in case the last Steam deal we told you about wasn't good enough, why not try 66% off the strategy/sim Tropico 3 this weekend? Steam users can nab a copy of Tropico 3 for $13.60 until the end of the weekend -- down from $39.99. The best part of the promotion? The Steam version of Tropico 3 includes two exclusive maps, two additional avatar costumes, and two accessories for the el presidente avatar editor. If you're on the fence about picking it up, you can download a demo of the title from our friends at BigDownload.

Is this game fun? I'm not too fond of RTS games, mostly because I'm terrible at them.

It is a lot of fun. Great sense of humor, interesting gameplay, enough challenge (usually) to make you think things through.

You'd need a pretty bad computer not to be able to run Psychonauts, but at the price you're supposed to get it anyway, suddenly you have motivation to get one.

@ BigDonny Yes, because I have an erly 2009 Macbook Pro and every game I try works great on Bootcamp. I have the Steam version of Dragon Age, Borderlands, Orange Box, Bioshock, etc and several demos, including this. All of them work pretty well on the highest or close to highest settings.
I say go for it. Steam is amazingly awesome.

These Steams sales have a way of making me buy games that I would have otherwise not even considered buying. Downloading the demo right now.
At the rate that Steam is putting games on sale, im going to have a hefty backlog of games to catch up on!

And isn't PC gaming great especially with being able to play games on a laptop, especially these big console games like Dragon Age, Mirror's Edge, Fallout 3, etc?

There's actually already a section on steampowered.com that lists all of the current specials, which is really all that 99% of the joystiq steam posts are anyhow. They make sense on joystiq, but as a separate site or subsite... well, Valve handles that quite well themselves already.
