More people would if they didn't cost so much. They should sell four-packs for $2 or even give them away for free. These things cost them almost nothing to make.

Well, they do have quite a bit free costumes and IMO the costumes are worth $1.99 because you can alter them in tons of ways to make new costumes, but that's just me I guess.

"@Korbei83: You ever stop to think about those with not super-fast connections, maybe bandwidth limits by their evil ISPs? How about the ability to resell/rent/borrow the game?"

Then why do you think they keep rushing these out? They DO take very little effort to make and the masses go along and purchase them. It goes for Sims 3 items, Xbox 360 LIVE avatar clothing, etc.

These guys are laughing all the way to the bank.

Just to justify mine and Mr Realistic's comments:

It's not a big deal that new costume are coming out any more.

Keep "rushing" what out? The last costumes came out in November, and one of them included a significant upgrade into the game.

They put a lot of time into these costumes, as you'd see if you actually had any, and their continual release is because Little Big Planet is a "platform" and not an individual release, they've been supporting it with fresh content for awhile.

The additional fun of them is they are essentially little costume lego pieces you can make new stuff out of. I imagine the $2 from each costume pack ends up supporting Little Big Planet as a platform further, and they've been very supportive of that in return.

But okay, let's just keep assuming the worst about games we've never played. That's cool too.

If people keep buying them, then they're worth it. If you don't want it, don't buy it.

Economics: the reason you shouldn't complain.

The Sephiroth costume was announced before the game was even out, I think, and it was supposed to drop when FF7 did on PSOne Classics, but never did.

The release of it when FF13 does is hopeful, but there's nothing concrete. It's sitting in a nebulous existence along with the Marvel Heroes characters.

I'm hoping the Sonic pack drops when the Sega racing game comes out, those look great.

I believe this was asked a long time ago in the Playstation Blog, and one of the developers answers saying something like "we show you guys our ideas for costumes, but then we have to take it to whomever has the rights of the character portrayed in that costume (in which case it was SquareEnix), and they have to get permission from them to use the costume"...

Or something like that. The Sephiroth costume may have never been approved.

@Wiizer

Where did you hear they were coming in March?

Can't wait for this damn game to come out already. Only a few more days and I'll be playing some sweet Level-5 RPG action. In fact, I already pre-paid for the game just to guarantee I'd get one at my smallish Game Stop. Between WKC and Heavy Rain I'll be good for the month of February.

As far as the costumes themselves ... they look pretty cool (especially the black knight) but I haven't bought skins in a while so I'll probably be passing on them.

the black knight looks intense. and don't hate too much on leonard. i'd imagine his hair would come in handy for other costumes.

I'd prefer it it they did like MGS ; release a load of costumes, with new levels, and stuff to make your own levels with the kit.

Until that happens on a regular basis - my LBP stays firmly in its box.

It's going to be there for a while then.

MM already said their intention was to provide tools to create levels, not create a bunch of levels post-launch.

The only reason we got the level packs was to show off the tools and help foster originality using said tools.

But just releasing costumes is not an incentive for creating levels now is it?

Its been 18 months since launch, they should be providing us with a damn site more playability in terms of MM created levels.

Not just rely on us to create them for each other.

I want something better.
