Simplicity and ease of use will be Natal's strong point. Natal should just keep it's nose out of genres that require every stick and button on the controller for user input.

I could see them integrating Natal with menu functions, but not for actual gameplay. I think Natal would be wonderful for inventory management in an RPG for example, but as for actual running-and-gunning gameplay I'm just not interested.

I personally hope that Halo: Reach has nothing to do with natal. I don't really like games that aren't controlled with a regular controller. It just seems gimmicky and not fun. I'm not trying to insult people who like the wii or look forward to natal. What i'm saying is that i would feel really let down by a halo game that included use of a product comparable with the Eye-toy and the wii. Leave my favorite franchise alone. if you want to augment an fps game with natal, just make a new title.

I'm not seeing where the "loose wording" is. I read it about ten times and It seems to confirm that ONLY the xbox controller is being used, thus preventing future rumors about it using the wacky peripherals Microsoft is setting up to announce at the next big game conference.

CALLED IT.

excellent news. I am not at all a fan of motion controlled games, and I am very glad to hear Halo: Reach will not be tainted with it. While I plan on getting the Natal just cause I for some reason always have to get the new peripherals, I probably will opt not to use it in most games that give you the option. I know that in pretty much all Wii games that let you choose to use a Gamecube or Classic controller, I usually go with that option.

Natal will fail because a) 360 owners don't want it and b) it will not bring in new gamers to 360.

Thus, halfway thru next console gen, Microsoft will be akwardly forced back in their "bread & butter" early 360 standard quo and rightful 3rd place dominance.
