I wish the ALF series had turned out to be all like the pilot. A crudely-mannered alien who kept trying to give beer to the kids would have been swell.

Oh, and remember how the TV series ended? With ALF being taken away by the alien task force in what was supposed to be a cliffhanger season finale but wound up being a series finale? Hilarious. What a downer ending.

Then they had to do go that stinkin' TV movie a few years later and mess it all up.

lol, great post. I have to say I've never cared much for these sales stats, but well done on the Behind the Scenes format - infinitely more interesting.

And so PSP Go continues its steady descent into madness. Already under 2,000 for the week. Sure, everything went down, but PSP Go is the one that won't likely go back up.

How much longer until Sony announces a price drop? Taking all bets!

i saw one in person for the first time today at best buy. it's smaller than i thought, and better looking in person. i might actually consider it if they drop the price...

I wouldn't consider one at any price until either:

A. Sony releases a program that allows me to officially backup my UMDs. I've got a lot of PSP games, ya know. And this is very unlikely, thanks to the wonderous world of licensing.

B. PSP Go is hacked and custom firmware is released, allowing me to move over my own backups to a Go. Maybe a bit more likely, but who knows.

Going to a Go would allow me to only play the three games I downloaded from PSN (Badman, Fate/unlimited codes, and Kurulin Fusion), which are fun and all... but I would never repurchase a game I already own (unless there were some serious incentives in doing so).

I had one but took it back because of a dead pixel. If they do a sizable price drop I'll jump back in and get another one. It's probably the sexiest device I've ever held in my hands including the iPhone. It really a great console and concept its just the execution that could be better.

Nice going with the accurate capitalization on "Fate/unlimited codes."

If I had adHoc Party, I'd ask to see if you wanted to fight me sometime (I mean in the game).

I would 100% buy a PSP go as soon as I had the money to do so, if they make a revision (new model) of it where its a few inches thicker.. and they put back in the UMD drive. I got ONE digital PSP game, thats it. And thats only cause of game sharing with my friend.. >_>

well i tried the game for a couple of hours, havent touched it in 2 days :S

dunno why, maybe its just because im barely starting, but the "you dont get to customize anything" doesnt appeal, this coming from someone who loves the lightests of RPGs.

Looking forward to making sure that eventually you do get to have more than 5 abilities, you are better with some weapons and others not, there is more to armor than ticking colors and installing upgrades...

someone enlighten me :(

No and there's not supposed to be. The ME franchise has never been about loot or armor customization, it's about the exploring, story, characters etc.

@jahd5000

you get a total of 1-2 more ablities, depending on what you chose. (at one point you either get a new weapon training or a new weapon. if you are a soldier, you just get to chose between weapons)

Armor differences are very slight, and really just "change" your bonuses rather than boosting much. non-cosmetic upgrades do far more.

If you arent happy with the character customizer, the combat, the story, and the "tinkering", you will not like this game, sorry. The first few hours are very representive.

Its basically gears of war combat wrapped up in a very in depth story.

Tmac "No and there's not supposed to be. The ME franchise has never been about loot or armor customization, it's about the exploring, story, characters etc."

The Metroid Prime series is all about exploring, story, characters (well, less on characters i guess, except in Prime 3, that has much more emphasis on all 3), but you still find it hard to play that? How far did you get through the Prime games before ME2 consumed you?

There's a difference, ME is fun. There's no exploration in Metroid Prime, it's just running through linear corridor after linear corridor with a very boring story. I don't even know if I'll ever go back to it, but now that Nintendo's discontinuing the trilogy I'm holding it for when it becomes pretty valuable.

Tmac, you silly rascal, you let your prejudices hamper your enjoyment of a great game. The way you are describing Metroid Prime is utterly ridiculous to anyone that has played more than an hour of the game, because it's quite the opposite. At least give it a fair chance.

Whatever, your loss.

I'm on that jungle-like planet after the pirate ship blew up in the beginning. It's just such a chore to play through, and one of the least fun games I've ever played. I only even keep going through it because I want to see how in the world so many people love it.

If you were less negative you might enjoy it. If you look at it as a chore it's more likely that it will feel like a chore.

Anyway, just play it more, as soon as you get some upgrades it will start to become addictive and you'll see the exploration element. They don't call it "first person adventure" for nothing.

Tmac is just a very overly dramatic and pessimistic person. He exaggerates a lot and says over the top stuff to get a reaction. If Metroid is one of the least fun games out there today then we're all in trouble.

You better be ready to be ashamed of it then, cause there's not another game announced for this year that's going to do as much as ME2, or as well as ME2 does it.

Too bad the Go doesn't have better support. It's a sexy little unit.

If the PSP Go goes down enough in price, I might consider it. Due to taxes, retail games are like 20% more expensive in my country, so the PSN prizes are actually "cheaper" to me.
