MASS EFFECT 2 IS THE BEST GAME EVER! PS3 GAMES ARE ALWAYS INFERIOR!

There I said everything you will spend the next 5000 posts saying. Now will you kindly go die somewhere where your smell won't reach the general public.

Ok that came out wrong I apologize. I'm just sick of hearing about ME2 now. And not out of jealousy, I've already said the game looks awesome and I would buy it if it came to PS3(If I could play the first one too).

It's cool. PS3 still has some of the most amazing games this gen. In my opinion, the console won 2009.

Wow Lunastra...take the fanboy down a few notches. The PS3 has a ton of excellent games coming out this year to take your mind off of ME2.

Also, it's not like ME2 is a 360 exclusive. It's just as awesome on PC if your machine can handle it.

Yeah man relax a bit, you got plenty of exclusives coming this year too. If anyone should be throwing a rage fit, it's a nintendo fanboy. They've got next to nothin interesting coming this year.

New Mario, Zelda, and Metroid games count as "Next to nothing interesting" now?

Hoo boy...let's be honest. Mario will be the same thing as always, Zelda will be the same thing as always, and Metroid probably won't be anything like the Prime games, so people will instantly hate it, despite the fact that the Prime games aren't the best Metroid anyway.

@Brad

If it's not broken, don't fix it. Though I could do with a Super Metroid remake. High hopes...

If they're anything like the last ones, then yeah. Galaxy was ok but it was nothing really special, the other two were VERY disappointing though.

The "not broken don't fix it" tag goes with franchises who are on their 1st or 2nd sequel...not games that established the formula they STILL use now 20 years ago.

So Brad, basically you are saying that:

1.Mario is going to be the same as always, so people are going to hate it
2.Zelda is going to be the same as always, so people are going to hate it
3.Metroid is NOT going to be the same as always, so people are going to hate it

@ Diodax - In reality I think that for those reasons everyone will love them. That market is pretty predictable.

@Lunastra78 - No reason to be jealous anyway if you play more than one console. You aren't cheating on the PS3 by using a 360 you know. It's ok. You can experience everything out there.

This is treading spoiler territory. There's a ton of factors involved in the last couple hours of the game and what results you get, and I lost 1 person in a very sad scene :(

Some people may not even have known that anyone could die at all, not everyone followed the game like I did (and I envy the ones who knew nothing going in). It's just better to be safe than sorry.

lol. I played through Mass Effect 2 before I dared to go on the internet (or at least gaming-related websites. It is one of the few games that I care whether the experience is spoiled or not.

I was able to get that achievement *wink wink* in my first play-through.

But we both agreed that Sony was doing next-to-no marketing on this game...unless they pushed it harder in Europe?

I would hope Sony spends some cash on a bunch of Kevin Butler Super Bowl ads.

I've been seeing more and more ads for it (another funny Kevin Butler one too), but yeah as a whole it didn't get a lot of advertising. Uncharted 2 didn't really get a lot either and even that just broke 2 million.

MAG is such a surprisingly awesome game. It's so damn fun and addictive and maybe the most innovative online FPS this generation. It's really refreshing. But, you need to know that you must commit A LOT of gaming time to this game or don't even bother. I mean, this isn't like MW2 (no offense) where you can be level 20 after a single sitting. There is a big importance on spec'ing your character correctly as well so he's balanced. After 3,000 XP you can re-spec but that takes a while (for me anyway maybe never - heh) to get up that high. I'm glad its selling good because it really is an awesome game and deserves success. Perhaps the most amazing thing about it is the server technology because I haven't had any inkling of any type of lag what-so-ever in any size match. It's insane.

MAG in 4th place?! Thats really surprising I expected it to totally flop but thats a really good first week especially since it had barely any marketing. Maybe it was the hardcore Socom crowd that helped push the sales.

Hope the CoD crowd keeps out of MAG, this is the kind of game that would be better if it was restricted to the right crowd - i.e., team players and gamers who appreciate tactics as opposed to the run-and-gun spray and pray gunners, campers and glitchers who should stick to CoD/halo

Actually, Halo 3 has improved greatly with the release of MW2. All the idiotic players have moved on, leaving the 'hardcore' in place.

Same with Call of Duty 4-the user base is small, but much better.

The problem is, MAG is in some ways like Demon's souls, a fabulous experience but also flustrating. And couple of things to keep in mind: you will need to put in several hours before you really get the best out of it, and controls are average.
But if anyone loved KZ2, BF:BC or Socom, you will love this as well
