"Move Your Brain Rollway Puzzle"

So this game uses the camera for motion controls? Is it just me, or does that sound like a real battery killer?

I remember my friend's Master System had Alex the Kidd built into the system - and it wasn't a dodgy pirated version either. The system actually came with a game preloaded. The game wasn't particularly memorable, but I always wondered why more companies never scooped up this great idea. Only the 360 with that jewel game comes to mind.

Weird. My Master System had some weird shooting game with jaguars and spiders, and Hang On. I didn't know Sega ever preloaded different games.

Hang-On and Safari Hunt (the lightgun game). There was also a secret maze game you could get to at the Sega screen if you read the instructions.

Which BIOS game you got depended on the version of your system, I think.

Snail Maze is GOTY every year.

Has anyone played Tales of Monkey Island on Wii? I heard it was pretty glitchy and didn't compare well to the PC version. Anyone got experience with both? I just want to know if the Wii version meets the ''good enough'' standard or if it's a real crapfest.

This is a question that can be answered very simply: if you have a gaming PC, play it on PC.

The Wii version is technically just about okay - episode 1 suffers badly from slowdown, but 2 onward seem to have mostly mitigated it. But it's still rough around the edges and the voice quality is not great. The PC version, which I haven't played, must surely be significantly better (the graphics aren't complicated, so with a vaguely modern graphics card I would presume it'll be butter-smooth, and without download size limits, I would presume the audio quality will also be fine).

If you don't have a gaming PC, the Wii version is still a great game, so go get it. That's what I'll be doing - just as soon as I have free time to play the damn thing. (Thursday? Maybe?)

Thanks, that's the info I was looking for. I run Linux on my PCs, so gaming is usually a "no", but if the console version is ok then I'll go that route rather than just miss out entirely.

I can't believe Wii is just now getting Tales of Monkey Island episode 5. It came out two months ago on PC... That's seriously pretty sad. As I understand it, Nintendo is to blame too.

So here's a question. Nintendo had a good idea with the WiiWare demos. However, they insisted that they had to be timed releases (itself odd - very few demos are only available for a limited time - only L4D1 comes to mind)... and now they have no new demos to replace the old ones. What's up with that? Japan has a Phoenix Wright demo and everything; why didn't we get one?
