I really hate when these amateur reporters resort to anything to get a high-ratings story, even if it means dragging down the entire news network with them. After that whole idiocy with Mass Effect on FOX, I never heard the end of complaints about the entire channel being propaganda like that, when it was just an afternoon fluff piece that most of the other anchors on the channel would gladly distance themselves from.

People are dumb, and apparently the intelligence of our children has hit an all time low. Block/Ban/Report people who are harassing you, or do them the ultimate disservice: Ignore Them. Nobody over the internet can do shit to you unless you either A: Put ridiculous amounts of personal information online, ASKING to be stalked or robbed, or B. This is a big problem and I don't in any way mean to make lite of it but this type of reporting is even more detrimental to the overall problem then the problem itself.

This is little more than soundbite journalism that doesn't really get into the situation deep enough and doesn't do enough to really talk about the pros and cons of online gaming but damns the whole thing over the actions of a few. All this report or expose does is scare people and put a damning light on gaming without really getting deep into the subject. This is a disservice to the subject matter that they don't make this into a multi part report that goes deeper and tries to educate people and not just scare them into thinking gaming is as a whole a terrible place.

While I appreciate that someone is taking the time to bring things like this to the attention of people the whole idea of making this a soundbite is a huge disservice.
