The real gameplay info buried within all the embarrassing jokery is that the in-game blacksmith enables players to upgrade their swords to (admittedly) Freudian proportions, allowing them to mow down enemies from a comfortable distance. While chuckling to themselves like Butt-head, of course.
3D Dot Game Heroes' long swords remind Atlus of something

so you can brag and show off your brand new outta the blacksmith sword, which only took you 4 weeks to get those very valuable extra inches with only daily natural exercises and no pills*?
*Everythings relative. Optional -needed- 200 pills sets with 20% discount by entering Blacksmith store or requesting estimates through www.enlargeursword.com.

Once you eat it, you don't have it anymore.
And Ive known a few people who prefer to freeze dry the cake they come across. I believe there is a special name for this in Japan. Or Kuwait.
Roughly translated it's cyrocakesis.

I'm still curious. To the people who claim Dante's Inferno is a ripoff of God of War, what do you think about this game?

While that trailer is HILARIOUS, I still don't find the actual game that interesting...I'm trying, and I know they're just playing to the nostalgia of the long-time Zelda fans and alumni, but I guess I never really got into those games either (I remember playing A Link To The Past on my emulator a few years back...I don't think I got very far before forgetting about the game altogether)...the only interest I've ever had in games that looked like that were the traditional RPGs...oddly enough, I was kinda hoping that they'd put a bit more of a twist on the whole "block heroes" thing, rather than just a 3d upgrade...so far, I haven't seen them exploring the advantages of a 3d environment over the old flat one that much, and I guess I was expecting somewhat the same treatment given to Paper Mario, where the whole paper-thin gimmick was made fun of and empowered throughout the game...I'll still be trying this one out, tho...

I'm a huge God of War and Zelda fan, but I'll be getting this and not Dante's Inferno.
There's a few reasons behind this.
1. I'm already going to be paying $60+ for a God of War game soon.
2. I own a PS3, but no Wii.
3. I have no problems with homages, but Dante's Inforno's setting doesn't particularly interest me.
Good enough?

no, not reply fail - I just tried to reply to him, and I think his reply button is broke. No joke. I clicked it multiple times, and it never said "replying to ... [undo]," but when I clicked reply to your comment, "Replying to DBrim [Undo]" showed up first try. This proves once and for all that Joystiq's comment system is definitely not perfect, and that it's not just user error every time you see a reply fail.

*sigh* guys, you're new to this town, havent seen ya 'round her! (RPG NPC in a new village that then asks you to rescue his missing child because hes busy at work and cant do it himself).
Anyways, as someone has clarified a couple of time already: Its because of the aposthrophe on his name.

They'll probably also find some way to justify their reasoning for it being a God of War ripoff.
