"supported Classic Controllers." So no motion + then? If so its a pretty dumb move on their part. If I want to use classic control I'll just play a game on one of my other consoles.

..but maybe I'm reading too much into it and they are going to play towards the systems strengths.

Gladiator? Really?

Wow, they really sprang for the most threatening and awesome-looking of mythical creatures, didn't they?

If this is the high voltage game, I hope I don't have to keep reminding people how terrible they are like I had to do with all the Conduit hype (only to watch everyone bitch about how much it sucks afterwards)

I still know people who absolutely love The Conduit. To them the only downside is that "hackers ruined the public online matches". If you ask me what would ruin it is not being able to play with friends, since almost no one bought it.

After it was pretty much hyped as being the game to own for Wii in 2009, I'm surprised it didn't sell better based on the hype alone. I wonder if this game will do any better.

Well if we start seeing 500 stories about how awesome it's going to be, guess we'll have our answer.

Hey, I remember that. Last year everyone was going nuts on how The Conduit was THE Wii game to own, and a couple months later, the game was met with a big MEH, as if all the hype was bull. Funny how some people are.

Don't forget that it has to be the savior of the hardcore game on Wii too, just like all of the other ones.

The Conduit was not bad. We'll see how good they are after this, The Grinder, and the Wii version of Ironman 2.

I don't understand how anyone could think the conduit was good. Did they not play any FPS this gen before that? That's the only way I could see it happening.

Well, The Conduit got up to number 6 on my most-played Wii games list by total play time (according to the Nintendo Channel). It had to have done something right.

Man, I love the Wii and all, but some of y'all have ridiculously low standards.

The Conduit was an unpolished, dull as rocks, by the numbers FPS that did not impress in any single way aside from how it controlled. It has a high level of customization, sure, but it lacks so many things even the most average FPS games boast on the other consoles. The art direction was bland and uninspired. Same goes for many of the games on the other two systems, but they typically make up for that in cinematic flair - The Conduit has absolutely none of that. The story is presented boringly, and you never truly feel like DC is actually being invaded by aliens or that this conflict is on a larger scale than the dozens of respawning enemies you shoot down ad infinitum until the end scene. And then, there's the online... don't even get me started. I'll just put it this way - anyone who thinks the online in The Conduit is even remotely half-decent really should start playing more FPS games.

I want a great Wii FPS more than anyone else, but The Conduit is not it, and I'm disappointed in both HVS for bringing such a substandard game to the table, as well as my fellow Wii owners who seem to be happily content with even the most utterly below average FPS games.

@Fun: The Conduit made me sick - literally. I couldn't play it more than half an hour at a time (this is in a brightly-lit room and everything). I think it was the low frame rate combined with excessive camera moves.

I didn't hate it because it was a generic FPS - why should I? I haven't played an FPS in years, so it was largely new to me. Pretty sure I disliked it because it was in fact an FPS and there's a reason I haven't played them in years. I really didn't like the movement, which seemed totally unrealistic as well as making me unwell (I can spin round at the same time as moving at the same time as whatever? Feels like you're floating more than running). Agree the story was also blah. The presentation was really slick, though. I haven't finished it, but I might do sometime... in short sessions. (I don't give a damn about online with this type of game, so I didn't try that.)

Basically I'd been thinking, yeah I used to really hate FPS games, but hey, I loved Resident Evil 4 on Wii and that's practically an FPS game right? I even liked the RE lightgun games and again, same sort of thing right? If you ignore the obnoxious online disaster-area that always applies for this type of game it should be okay right? WRONG. So Conduit did me a favour by reminding me never to buy another FPS game. (Until I forget, probably somewhere around next console generation.)

Obviously this is just a personal opinion, but I assume quite a lot of people who own Wii (especially as only/primary console) are people of a similar opinion i.e. those who don't normally play FPS games - and maybe, unlike me, the vast majority of them were smart enough to keep it that way. :)

Those High Voltage guys sure are creative and original. Next they will come up with a four player game where you shoot zombies AND vampires.

Wait, so they dropped the whole "gladiator sim" aspect of this altogether? That was the only thing about this game that struck me as particularly interesting to begin with.

Wait I don't understand...

So this WAS Gladiator A.D., and now it's Tournament of Legends? I hate to say this but my interest is reduced to 0 right now.

The man-eating lion is certainly more useful than the man eating lion, who insists you don't disturb him until he's finished the whole carcass. So much for telling him that the mate of his dinner is right behind him.

Keep in mind, Sega. No Online = No Purchase. Also, don't ease up on the blood, make that game violent (think 300 or Spartacus:Blood and Sand).

This game kind of reminds me of that N64 fighter War Gods... hopefully it's better (although I rather enjoyed that one chick jiggling her boobs when she won!)

I will be unoriginal here, but... I really had hope in "Gladiatro AD" only because two features:

-Wii motion plus compatibiliy.

-Mature content

And they screw up both!! What´s the point on a "Soul Calibur" remake with PSP cartoon graphics? This people must be crazy...

As far as I'm concerned, the most promising game in the last two years is CANCELLED. I will not buy "Tournament of legends". My friends will not buy "Tournament of legens". Hell, we even don´t have any intention of pirate it, EVER.

DAMN YOU, SEGA.
