House of the Dead: Overkill far too cheap on Amazon

$13 is just the right price for this glitchy ass game.
Aside from the slowdown I enjoyed it.
But it was terribly annoying.

Europe bought ours - well I bought mine, full price collectors edition and all.

This and Madworld started dancing around the £5-12 price point just six or seven weeks after launch; dItto Little Kings Story. Very, very disappointing.

It's because of this game that I giggle every time I see a commercial for Papa Johns pizza.

This game is perfect for playing with a friend; for a single-player rail-shooter, though, Dead Space Extraction is even better, and only $30 now at Amazon.

So you should buy both, is what i'm saying...

There's nothing wrong with the bargain bin, and making things collector's items just makes them harder to find.

Damn right I bought it! Day one! Possibly my most favorite game last year.

Might I suggest a fucking episodic series for WiiWare, or maybe a title for Sony's fucking weird-ass motion control... thing? I don't fucking care, I just fucking want more of the continuing grindhouse exploits of Detective fucking Washington and Agent motherfucking G. For fuck's sake, please.

Great game. It's totally worth the asking price and the slowdowns I found were mostly on the first mission.

i live in the UK and i love this game, i bought it full price at launch, i even bought the Hand Cannon peripheral (nice and comfy but a tad bit heavy) so that i could dual wield in this game which allows this as an option when you complete it.

I love this game, I just recently played it and am planning on buying it as soon as I can. I just bought Mad World from Gamestop new today also. Here's hoping that Sega is paying attention and gives us a Mad World 2 and House of the Dead Overkill 2. These are some of the best games I have played on the Wii thus far, if you haven't picked up either you can't go wrong, especially at $13 apiece.

Actually, I read a recent bit @ Gamasutra (IIRC) w/ one of Headstrong's devs. When asked about HOTD:Overkill, Headstrong (not SEGA) was actually rather happy w/ sales - while it did not set the world on fire a la MW2, the game has been a steady "evergreen" title that sells more & more copies every week - and has since it debuted. The current Amazon promo will likely boost those numbers a bit more.

And for the record, I bought this AND Madworld on release day - count me as at least one Wii user that plays "serious" or "hardcore" games...and has a great time doing so.

No language filter, no sale. Sorry, Sega. Next time, take a page from Perfect Dark" and Gears of War and insert that little option. Thanks.
