It's indicative of Valve's creativity that we don't play Team Fortress 2, but we still get excited about the game's hilarious updates. In its most recent patch, TF2 received the new "Highlander" mode, in which teams are composed of nine players -- but each team can only have one of each class. In other words, "There can be only one (Spy, Sniper, Heavy, etc.)." This not only sounds like an interesting new mode, but it also gives us occasion to link to the intro for the Highlander television series, which scientists recently concluded is the coolest intro sequence in the history of mankind.
We're also guessing the ultra-Scottish Demoman class gets some sort of intangible benefits while playing in this mode, but that's just pure speculation.

Yeah, he gives a Braveheart-esque speech before the start of every match.
You'll eventaully get tired of it just like the rest of the game.

If this mode makes him wear a kilt and flash the opposing players as a taunt, I'm loading up Steam and downloading it again.

Too bad what you said was true. TF2 is an essential game to play. That is the game to compare all multiplayer shooters to.

Sucks for you console people though! This game alone(well along with many others) justifies owning a great PC.

Posting the intro from later in the series, because it's full of considerably more WIN.

And Halo isn't? That makes no sense since if you are not doing the objective you will not gain exp and from my experience every one goes for the objective. Only CoD is where the objective is the last thing on your list.

All you ever hear from COD and Halo players is their K/D ratio.
In TF2, it is about who won the round.

Also, those with a mic had to be bothered to install it. Therefore, usually there are less screeching 12-year-olds calling you a n****r. Xbox Live games EVERYONE has a mic, and it makes me wish I could kill people with my mind!

I don't recall ever paying so little for a game and getting so much out of the box, and THEN getting 9 more updates!

They are in a strange, alternative universe where my hair is made out of marzipan, more oddly, people give a shit about the 360 version.

I don't get that first sentence. It sounds like Joystiq is (quite wrongly) slighting Valve by calling out their lack of creativity.

Better work on those reading comprehension skills then buddy! To simplify they are saying that Valve is super creative because even though joystiq staff don't play TF2, they still get excited every time an update is announced, just because the updates are so interesting.

Yes, the rest of the post supports that. But the first sentence conveys quite the opposite, Buddy.

Read it again, you need to look at the meaning of the sentence as a whole. If there were a period in place of the comma after "we don't play Team Fortress 2" then you would be correct.

I couldn't disagree more. It's poorly worded, and reads as an insult. You're wrong.
