Don't tell me... you like that movie? I mean, have I finally found someone other than myself who actually likes it?

Believe it or not I really liked it. The whole alien/mech-like dream sequences, the spirits, the action, the characters (who I thought looked amazingly real when I first saw them, they looked like real actors at the time, not CG), and just everything about it.

I liked it a lot more than I did Advent Children, but I suppose that's more a reflection on my thoughts of the FF7 saga/storyline/game as a whole.

Yeah, I thought it was rather good.

But I've got a LOT of games for this weekend. And I haven't bought Advent Children yet.

I liked Spirits Within, too. What really impressed me in the visuals department was actually the hair. I'd never seen CGI hair move like that before.

The DVD of the movie was actually the first time I ever saw the Thriller dance. See, I was alive in the 80s, but I never had cable television. So, when I saw the FF:TSW cast performing the Thriller dance, I didn't get it at all and was just very confused.

I haven't seen Advent Children yet, but that's because I haven't finished FFVII yet.

While I think Zombieland is an awesome movie, all of my friends disagree with me when I say Shaun Of The Dead is a better movie. They're not exactly the same type of movie...but I still think they're comparable...and Shaun Of The Dead is so much more memorable than Zombieland. But, either way they're both great movies.

While Zombieland is awesome, it has almost no story and often switches between being funny and comical to suddenly being dramatic and suspenseful. If you watch it without expecting too much, it's really great. It's just a nice light hearted zombie comedy/drama.

A movie like Shaun of the Dead I would say is more focused on comedy than being feel good, and I know that I at least prefer comedies. So your point is understandable.

What? Zombieland is already on Blu-ray? Well looks like I know what movie I'll be picking up next.

While I'm at it I might as well revisit some of Bill Murray's classics like Ghostbusters, and maybe even Groundhog Day.

Groundhog Day is amazing. Bill Murray's best film and performance imo.

Im going to watch Oldboy on Netflix. Then go back to playing AC2 and Tropico 3, so I have enough time for Bioshock 2 next Tuesday.

I was wondering that as well on District 9 (didn't look for the theme on Zombieland) Maybe they lock it out somehow on rental market versions?

I'll be trying to figure out how to watch the Best Picture nominations I haven't seen yet before they leave the theater. I guess a possible rental for me of the Hurt Locker and seeing The Blind Side & Up in the Air this weekend. I've seen An Education tonight (kind of a weaker nomination IMO, but at least it's not A Curious Case of Benjamin Button).

Anyone can tell me if A Single Man is any good? Or is it A Serious Man? Or is it A Simple Plan?

Anyone who is still sad over Tennant leaving Who, should give this past year's Royal Shakespeare Company's Hamlet a watch. Also, Patrick Stewart was in it too, so it adds even more awesome.

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned before here, but the This Is It Blu-Ray release also has a PS3 theme in it, if you navigate to the XMB's Game subsection.

I will have to get the Doctor Who specials eventually, but probably not soon. Still haven't seen all of the previous seasons (and there are plenty of classic Who I still haven't seen, though Maryland Public Television sure helped out with that).

$39.95, good sir! And that's MSRP and has been like that for movies for a while. I remember seeing DVD prices in magazine advertisements years before saying $29.99 MSRP.

How does anyone have time for movies while Mass Effect 2 exists? Zombieland is brilliant, though.

The cartoon was one of the funniest shows of all time, while the sitcom was one of the worst show of all time.

Tim: The first and 2nd seasons are both available on dvd. Check Amazon.

This photo always bothers me. The woman in the front's hands look too small.

I saw Final Fantasy Spirits Within on cable one time and yeah, it was totally decent. Not even a FF fan!
