We've already seen John Marston get himself into a whole mess of different being a cowboy-related situations before Red Dead Redemption's impending April release date, but today's are (as you might imagine) just a bit different. That's right, folks -- this time he's got a lasso. Rather than employing the ubiquitous Old West tool in cow wrangling, though, Marston drops some rope-based justice on fools and horses alike (okay okay -- we suppose it's possible there are also some fool horses). Peep the five new screens below in our hi-res gallery.

I'm extremely excited for this game...a great setting and b-e-a-utiful visuals, and from the trailers we've seen, it looks like it'll have great variety and gameplay. I'm so entranced by the beauty of this game though, especially the clouds...looks like a painting!

For that to happen, the game would need to receive a perfect score from over 40 sources.
Not going to happen.

There is no way a game from a troubled developer is going to beat the latest game from a developer who pushes out massive success after massive success.

Um, Rockstar has plenty of massively successful titles, in case you've forgotten. In fact GTA4 has outsold Mass Effect 1, 2, and Dragon Age combined.
Oops, sorry, I guess you're just really stupid.

I forgot their 'massive' success of Midnight Club LA, which killed the franchise, and all the other stinkers.

It's time for some fun figures. Chinatown Wars on the DS sold about 0.93m, whereas Bioware's sonic title sold around the .70 mark. Chinatown wars also got better reviews why by Bradwart logic makes it a better game.
However, Chinatown Wars has still sold better than Jade Empire, which is also around the .70m mark. Technically speaking, the only impressive sales figures in Bioware's catalog are held by both Mass Effect titles, and Dragon Age (whose sales aren't really high so much as fast over a short period of time).
Regardless, they've all still yet to hit "massively successful" sales numbers like GTA4. In fact, Rockstar Games Double Pack: Grand Theft Auto III & Grand Theft Auto Vice City has sold more units than Mass Effect 1.
Even when Rockstar rebrands old titles they leave Bioware in the dust. I know I'm going off sales numbers, but critic reception doesn't determine the success of a game, or is at least nowhere near as important as making profit.

ahahaha Midnight Club: LA sold 1.32 million compared to Mass Effect 1's 1.31 million. It's also multiplat, with PS3 sales accounting for an additional 1.15 million.
Yes that game sure was a huge failure, oh myyyyyyyyyyy~

I know you're a very simple person with minimal brain capacity, but...
How on earth does sales=good game? No one cares that they outsold the BioWare titles. By your reckoning, Modern Warfare 2 outsold your crappy Deus Ex, so therefore MW2 MUST be the better game, right?
Please, try harder next time, k?

Brad, I don't think you really get what determines success in the video game industry. All critical reception does is make dev's feel really good about themselves and the job they did when they go to sleep. And sure it helps boost sales because obviously there are dumb people like you who will blindly believe anything a journalist with a review copy will tell you.
But in the big world of business, success is valued by how well a game did in the market. WiiSports has sold tens of millions more than GTA4. I would rather play GTA4 than WiiSports, but lets face it, WiiSports is a more successful game because it's turned a higher profit. It's all about recouping losses and making money.
Of course you don't get ANY of this because you're the stupidest sonofabitch in world. It seriously astounds me how dense you are.

This bundled with all the other great games this year (most them were Q4 '09 delays) is making this the best year for video games since 1997....* squeal* :D
