Weekly Webcomic Wrapup is snowed in

Much like the rest of the nation, Weekly Webcomic Wrapup HQ is currently buried beneath roughly a half-mile of fresh snow. Despite our encasing, we've somehow managed to hold onto our internet connection. We know, that doesn't make a lick of sense -- we're guessing that somewhere out in the arctic wilderness, a router is still powered on, fueled by an unseen, tenacious modem.

We've used this inexplicable internet access to bring you our seven favorite webcomics, listed below. Check them out, and vote for your favorite after the jump! If we missed out on any good ones, leave a link in the comments!

Lost concept art was funny! Come on, they look so SERIOUSSSSSSSSSSS...

Nor I. This is by far the worst week this year...so far...

Also, it was very smart in that Mickey D's is big in JP (though it's everywhere, the commercials of Ronald are severely creepy in Japan), AND we get a new wallpaper out of the artwork!

The extra life one didn't even make sense. The weapons on halo are very well balanced. I mean I've never said "OH NO! He has weapon "x"! I'm screwed for the rest of the game now!" There is a sword, but it's easy to get back if you just change your strategy.

I agree about the Extra life thing. It actually
would have made much more sense if he had referenced commando in MW2

That's great. Too bad the comic had nothing to do with weapon balancing.

"Lost Concept Art" is more creepy than funny imo

I'm glad to see i'm not alone in thinking this week's comics were duds.

Tiptup, he's not talking about weapon balancing, he's talking about stealth kills with the gun butt.

I think Penny Arcade was the worst of the lot.

I was gunnin' for PA ever since I saw it on Wednesday and actually laughed out loud. Classic delivery with that last line. XD

After seeing oNaM, however, I had to show them some love. Grimace looks freaking badass!

If that comic doesn't win, it will prove that there are too many kids on this site who weren't around for the good old days of Saturday morning cartoons and the commercials that accompanied them...

eh...I voted for extra life. although it would've worked better if the kid with the stick was younger than the kid with the snowball--y'know, because there's all those damn 12-year olds that think they're pwning you constantly....

I voted for Penny Arcade only because that has happened to me. Except I only got seven-hundred and thirty three

Digital Unrest. Trying to imagine what the practical origins of some of those Zelda items are can be quite amusing.

BitF and Extra Life were also good.

Went with PA. It's funny because it's true. The first one I got, I was like, WTF?

I love that game.

Also, no snow here. Just sun and 65 degrees.

Just got 14 inches of snow last night. I don't know how you guys do it, I love winter and the snow. I couldn't imagine it being Christmas and like 60 degrees

It does get colder, and it does snow, but rarely more than a few inches.

Still, it's a dry heat. And no salt on roads to rust out the cars.

Here in the caribbean, winter is just the same as always but with more random rain.

Snow is awesome, and surprisingly it doesn't make the weather as cold as I thought it would.

I mean I was out in snowy weather in the outskirts of Toronto with just jeans, a shirt, and a hoodie and I was perfectly comfortable (socks and shoes too of course).

Now what really made me laugh was that the girl of the family I was staying with at the time would go out wearing snow pants on top of her regular pants, and even a big heavy jacket too. I was baffled why a guy used to 45F winters and 100F summers was better adjusted to 10F temperatures than someone living there their entire life.

But yeah, haven't played ME2 yet, so I went with Extra Life.

Sonic, yeah I'm like you in that sense. I go out with a light jacket with only a T-shirt under it with Jeans and I'm fine, and I walk about a mile a day in it.

"Now let's go to to Ollie for the blaccuweather forecast, Ollie."
"IT'S GONNA RAIN"
"Thank-you Ollie."

I live on the Idaho/Washington border and Saturday's forecast high was 50 degrees and it ended up being 55 degrees while our average high for this time of year is 39 degrees. I actually wore shorts when my wife and I walked to Dairy Queen.

In the UK it's gray and overcast (shock horror)
misty at times.

penny arcade. they had me at "wish you had three dicks? the holodong."

This one's voting for Penny Arcade this week, even though I have not played any Mass Effect games yet (this one's prefers to wait for a good gaming rig or book to play both parts), but those messages and the reaction of the Captain simply made me laugh hahaha!

Of Noobs and Men's was cool too. They turned out to be my runner up.

This one's voted for Extra Life this time.

This one also thinks Penny Arcade's comic was worthy too, and it turned out to be this one's runner up.

This one has only played most of Mass Effect 1, so this one hasn't encountered as many strange messages. This one has a good gaming rig to play both parts. This one is in agreement with Earth-clan's thoughts of the messages and the reaction of the Captain.

Gotta agree with the majority here, most of the comics this week were rather mediocre. Block Party in particular- maybe because I've already seen it (somewhat) done before by Awkward Zombie a couple years back. My vote goes to Lost Concept Art.

These were all terrible. Even PA, which usually gets at least a chuckle out of me.

I voted for Extra Life, seemed true to me(although I'm the one doing melee)

But yeah! 3 FT of snow here! Both of my cars are drowned! I need to shovel them out somehow tomorrow..

The previous virtual shackles was way better than this one, whyd didnt you go with that? i did like how they picked at the elcor's cigar, how the hell does he put it in his mouth?

I love me some Penny Arcade but that joke is already in the actual game. They kind of phoned it in with that one.

So, basically, the usual over the past couple of years then?

This owns, and would actually make me vote for something for a change.

No one missed, misses, or will ever miss your crappy comic with its crappy name.

I would like a "N/A" option, I didn't find any of them funny this week and I'd still like to vote.
