It looks like that entire game's worth of removed content might be making it into Final Fantasy XIII after all. GameStop has posted the box art for the Xbox 360 version of the game and, more importantly, it has also posted the art for the back of the box. As you can see above, the box mentions that Final Fantasy XIII will support downloadable content after all, though there is no mention of what the DLC actually is. It's worth noting that the content could be something as simple as Avatar outfits or accessories, though it would certainly make sense for Square Enix to supply its most well-known franchise with post-launch DLC.
The news comes after producer Yoshinori Kitase was rumored to have stated that no DLC had been planned for the game, though he noted it was still "possible." Final Fantasy Union, however, notes that Kitase apparently confirmed DLC during a recent interview with the Dutch Official Playstation Magazine. The box art certainly seems to confirm that, though we've reached out to Square for clarification. As of this writing, GameStop has yet to post the art for the back of the PS3 version, so it's unclear if both platforms will support said content.

I just want to know when the inevitable Bigfat and Tmac make-out session is going to happen.
They obviously have raging crushes on each other...
Or, maybe they're the same person..
Hmm.

You should keep fighting Bigfat, they definitely need more balance here. I've just been doing it for months now and it's gotten old, plus it's just become even more sony-heavy as time goes by. There's really no point in trying to fix a lost cause, as I now.
Like I said, I know now what Fernando and a lot of the older nintendo guys felt like when they left, except I actually like (for the most part) my ps3 I just don't like their fanboys. So anyone feel free to add me on psn/live if you wanna keep in touch.

I'm not a single console owner either, though. In fact, I probably had a 360 before you did unless you also got it at launch. Currently I have every console except a 360 and thats because I decided to get rid of it. The point is if you only want to hear from people with the same views as yourself go to the xbox only version of the site and comment.
@Big Fat
Tmac may have changed a lot but he has never and will never be as bad as you. Evar.

At least Tmac is somewhat creative and interesting with his trolling.
BigFat is just a broken record, clinging to Tmac's apron strings.
I mean, he's fine as the dimwitted side-kick and all, but could he carry a show by himself?
Not likely..

No more screen real estate needs to be wasted on this issue. If you leave then you leave if you don't then you don't. It's an online forum not a career.

@Ryuk
Part of the problem is when you get to a certain point of posting thats all people tend to see. Even if 80% of your posts have nothing to do with that subject the one that does will have everyone calling you a fanboy. People have short term memories and only remember what they want to remember. It doesn't matter how many of your posts aren't fanboy ones because the one time you make one that comment all of a sudden represents the entirety of all your comments, ever. It happens to everyone because it's become a finger pointing scene online in general. The only ammunition someone has is to call someone else a fanboy, never mind if what they said is actually true or has any merit because once they call you a fanboy it means nothing you say is true. Thats the way it works. So, it doesn't matter if he has 5 well thought out posts because the one post he goes all fanboy is the post he'll get called out for being it all the time.

Jesus Wiizer, shut up. Do you do anything besides egg trolls on? Sometimes I wonder if you even are ten years old, as a ten year old would have enough sense not to pick a fight with someone who is obviously being disingenuous for the sake of irritating people.

Well I'm starting to hate this DLC business that companies seems to really like nowadays, they complete the whole thing and just remove some stuff to sell it later as DLC.
I mean as much as I like Assassin Creed 2 it's really hard for me to believe that such a short episode like "Battle of Forli" was not in the original release because of "time constraints".
On the other hand it's really nice when companies such as Rocksteady & Eidos offers you free DLC (Batman).

I agree. There is a right and a wrong way to do DLC. I can see there even being launch day DLC if it doesn't really fit in the main part of the game, but if it is something that should have been there like Battle of Forli, it's just a rip-off.
On the other hand I don't really see a reason to complain as long as you are getting a full experience from it.

That AC2 DLC really made me pissed. That was just patently ridiculous for them to intentionally remove two chapters to sell them later on as DLC. That was possibly the most egregious example of DLC syphoning from consumers.

I guess thats a small bit of good fortune considering you had to wait so long to get the game at all.

Well, Ubisoft is charging us $60 for it, just like the console versions when it should be $50. MW2 set a bad precedent for PC games but the DLC packs are free and that is nice.
I'm worried about the online DRM that comes with the PC version, you have to be online all the time to play the game. If I buy the game, I am cracking that bullshit so fast!

Seems like $60 is going to be the new norm for PC games in that case. Pretty lame companies are still putting in that obtrusive DRM. In terms of the DLC, it should've been included in the game since there is really nothing extra there. It's two chapters / memory sequences that were "corrupted" during the game. They were obviously intentionally left out. I wouldn't buy them anyway and it was the 2nd best game I played last year.

It's not Downloadable Content! It's Game Content Download!
It could be everything! Like.. like.. we have to download the textures of the game for it to work! Or the sound effects!

DLC could mean anything from gamerpics and themes to costumes and to expansions. I'll wait and see, but I see no reason for Square not to capitalize on the DLC market for a FF game. Especially for one that has been in development so long it needs to make as much money as possible.

If you console gamers don't take a stand, that's what is going to happen. Console only gaming would really suck, especially as it becomes more commercialized, more monetized and I see ridiculous things such as collector's editions strategy guides to go along with the collector's editions of games. People that buy virtual clothing. DLC which will eventually expire such as map packs when the game goes offline.
