I like to the magazines to have something to read in the car, on a plane, or in the stall.

Doesn't really make any sense to have Joystiq promoting the only media they are competing with and currently putting out of business.

Joystiq competes with Kotaku and other game sites. Not magazines so much. What is strange is GamePro promoting the return of EGM on their site. THEY compete with EGM.

yeah this subscription fine print is weird. it only shows up on one of the two subscription pages. not a good way to kick it off.

Did you not read the main page? It's not fine print. It says as plain as day that a 6-month subscription includes 6 print issues and 26 digital issues, and a 12 month includes 12 print issues and 52 digital. It says it on the main egmnow.com page where they talk about subscriptions.

I think better reading comprehension skills are needed by a lot of people on this site. I understood the set up the first time I read it.

I have been getting my gaming-read on with Parish's GameSpite quarterlies:

Excellent stuff.

I hope EGM comes out as well as it sounds. I did some digging around for KillScreen, but their site/blog seems dead.

Does anyone know if there's a way to get this to the UK?
Also, I'm not sure which to pull the trigger on, this or Kill Screen as it's going to cost me a lot to ship either here, so one subscription'll have to do. Anyone got any advice?

As a person who works at a call center that used to do EGM Magazine, im happy they are back :D. However i wish they didnt transfer the remaining of their subscribers to maxim...had a lot of pissed off mothers call on why their son is getting a dirty magazine. Cuz it has a tiny..section of gaming in it.

It was Ziff-Davis that did that, not EGM. Steve Harris had no control over that and could not do anything about it after the fact. Simple as that.

I am hoping that under Steve Harris is resembles the EGM of the 90s more than the EGM run by Mielke. It was a terrible magazine near the end.

Fantastic news

I like the fact that they are going with heavier paper stock. I am a huge fan of video game print mags.

Subscribed for $25~

Ouch, Canadians are getting ripped on this one. I live in southern ontario, so it's not like shipping is going to be any harder. Oh well..
