Lego Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars marching to multiple platforms this fall

And here we thought the well of Lego Star Wars material had dried up. Perhaps we've underestimated TT Games, which has revealed that it's constructing a new armed and fully operational entry in the series: Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars. Destined for an Autumn 2010 release on the Xbox 360, PS3, PSP, Nintendo DS and Wii, the game will focus on the events of the Cartoon Network animated series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Expect "brand new battle modes, giving players unique, head-to-head combat" and an expanded level editor, allowing potential Padawans and Seperatists the chance to construct their own "customized bases and in-game battlefields." You'll also be able to employ new tactics throughout the game, such as "Squad command, Lightsaber slicing, Lightsaber jumps, long distance Jedi attacks and Grapple Tie-Ups."

Wait, lightsaber slicing? Does that mean the obvious, or the radical ability to slice through lightsabers?

Not buying it. Star Wars movies and their related games died for me after Episode III.

Replace "Episode III" with "Episode I".

Oh no, Episodes I and II don't exist.

@ protonx - Yes, but KOTOR and Jedi Outcast came out after Episode I, as did Republic Commando, Battlefront, and Rogue Leader. And let us not forget the direct result of Episode I, Battle for Naboo and what amounts to a brilliant racing sim, Racer.

I sure hope you didn't let your own personal death of Star Wars get in the way of enjoying those games.

KOTOR won me over because of BioWare. I never played Outcast, so no comment. Rogue Leader..sure..fun. It ran on the same formula we saw from the N64. The other two, I didn't care about.

Episode 1: Pod Racer was great because Anakin didn't talk. SCORE!

It sure is a good thing you spent all your money up through III before discovering that the franchise had been turned to shit.

Hmm. The LEGO games are surprisingly fun so i have mixed hopes about this. On one hand the Clone Wars is easily the weakest part of Star Wars, on the other i really did enjoy LEGO STtar Wars 1 and 2

After the awesomeness that was LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga, this is a definite buy for me.

After Lego Indy 2, I think they're running kind of out of ideas. Lego Batman was more fun than the previous games, though, since it told its own stories. Since I don't like Clone Wars, I think I'd pass anyway.

Well LEGO Harry Potter looks like it could be awesome, But i still want my LEGO Lord of The Rings and LEGO Back to the Future.

I absolutely hate the lego series I see no point to them. But I am really surprised that they havent done a Lego James Bond series that really seems like it could fit

Because a compilation would have:

The character roster
The Gadgets/weapons
The Vehicles
A story (except for batman all the lego games had a well known story) to take liberties with
Set ups for cheesy jokes

This is my breakdown of a lego game and a compilation of the Bond movies (not books) could tick all of those boxes. Ofcourse they would have to tone down the sexual references and connotations for children but from watching my brother play Indy they still do have some sexual hints/jokes in there

No, I'm saying it's horrible because the movies wouldn't translate well.

I'll rent it....but something tells me I wont like this much....even if it is legos...

After what I experienced during the Clone Wars demo, I would like to give a giant facepalm on behalf of StarWars and gaming fans everywhere.

Yeah I agree. The show is good.

The last game that they did based on the show however, was not good at all.

If I get to kill Asoka over and over like I do with Jar Jar in the Complete Saga, then I might be sold on it.

I think everyone knows that next is gonna be Lego Ben 10:The Video Game. LOL,I liked the other lego games,so I'll probably pick this up after a week or two of it being out.

It's not bad, but the Tartakovsky one was better. Man I miss they guy cause he made some good shows.

What no PS2 version? That is surprising considering the install base...

I hope they have figured out how to fix the screen tearing problems with the 360 and especially the PS3 version. It is rather annoying...

Given Lego Batman's comparatively lackluster sales, I'm thinking a sequel is unlikely. Shame, really. It was my favourite out of the whole series.

WANT! I skipped out on the first Clone Wars game, but a Lego Clone Wars is right down my alley, hope it comes to PC also! If not, well Wii version :/

Looking forward to this. However I would have preferred a different story. Lego Lord of the Rings perhaps.

When will we get anything grown-up and mature from Lucas? They're simultaneously watering it down to target a wider audience AND running the entire franchise into the ground in a desperate effort to milk the cash cow before it completely dies. Pretty soon people won't associate "Star Wars" with epic space opera -- they're going to associate it with Teletubbies and Sesame Street.

What Star Wars needs is a reboot without Lucas.

I still want them to make Lego: The Guy Game! Come on TT Games! Make it happen.

Another? No plot, destroy this, collect that, do it again and again and again in mildly different settings... Not buying it. The only Lego game I actually had fun with was Lego Batman, and even then I could barely stand to get all of the achievements.

This gamme will be awrsome because i like every lego game and episode 1 & 2 of starwars is awesome so anyonewho dissis any of these is about to be pwnd
