We apologize for any and all spelling or grammatical errors this post may contain. We're not at our usual razor-sharp level of literary acuity this morning, due to the fact that we stayed up all night to analyze the image you see above. According to Siliconera, that silhouetted figure up there is the first new fifth-generation Pokémon, and we need to know what it is. We'll find out during the February 21 episode of Pokémon Sunday -- but we both know that we can't be expected to wait that long.
So, let's just start riffing. It looks bipedal, right? That could indicate that it's a fighting-type -- then again, look at its plumage. Kinda looks like the trappings of a fire-type, doesn't it? Then again, it could just as easily be a new evolution of Lucario! Or -- wait, you know what it actually resembles? Our shame.

This could be an evolution of Lucario

Totally a Lucario evolution. the way it stands, its canine-like features.
It would make alot of sense, as its supposed to star in Phantom Ruler Z, and Lucario is one of the most popular Gen4 Pokémon..

Something ridiculous and over-exaggerated I'm sure..
Seems like after the first few gens all the new Pokemon have been just stupid and random. They just take an animal and add spikes and multiple tails and a specific element like fire or water, and a dumb pun of a name..

Well, this new pokémon is apparently the feature of the 13th movie, Ruler of Illusion Z.
We also know that movie has an evil double of Ash in it.
Given the circumstances, I'm guessing this is a new legendary pokémon based on an old myth or legend about a creature that assumes the form of people, a doppleganger.

I think that's a really clever conclusion. I was thinking and it would have a noticable flame on it if it were fire type, and considering that it's most probably Z I'm going to figure it's ghost or dark, especially based off of it's dimensions. Probably not related to Lucario, but since Lucario was so well recieved in the last generation I'm sure they'll try to recreate that in this new generation.
If I had to guess I'd say it's related to sandshrew, but since it's probably a legendary I think it would be safe to say that it's either a ghost fighting, or dark fighting dual type.

Despite this article, I think we all know the first 5th generation pokemon to be revealed was Mawile's Evolution: Bayonetta.

Something very weird happened one night: (Take in mind that I only ever saw the picture of Zoroark and the movie front cover, all in Japanese, and never read the plot summary.)
I had a dream that I saw the movie, only a part of it, and I looked so real. I dreamed of Zoroark possessing Ash (shadow version) and for some reason, a Seadra came to help him. Zoroark also left strange patterns wherever it walked and my dream also included the three legendary dogs: Raikou, Suicune and Entei!
The next morning, I looked and Wikipedia and read the plot summary and it was exactly the same as my dream! It might have been a dream of the future!!!! Weird!!!
Please reply and tell me anything! Thanks!
