Mass Effect 2 remains atop UK charts, Dante debuts

Mass Effect 2 has maintained the top spot on Chart-Track's UK all-formats sales chart for a second week in a row. However, there seems to be some kind of Batarian flu loose on the isles, because Mass Effect 2 sales, which dropped by 64 percent this week, were "within touching distance" (850 units, to be exact) of Wii's Just Dance. Rounding out the unchanged top three for a second week was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

EA's Dante's Inferno had one hell of a premiere on the charts, earning a somewhat sinful spot at fourth. In a good sign for MAG, the mega shooter slipped only three notches to seventh place. Meanwhile, the surprise return of other BioWare game Dragon Age: Origins to the top 40 last week has gained even more momentum, moving up another three spots to 28th.

I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favorite store.

You can play as Joker? He was the only damned character I really liked in the first one (which I finally beat a few days ago on my laptop). All the other characters felt too flat (in the case of humans) or too human (in the case of most aliens).

Seth Green just has such an awesome voice, and the way he conveys just the right amount of comedy for the character is awesome.

Amazing it dropped 64% but is still in the number one spot. The re-emergence of Dragon Age has to be directly attributed to Mass Effect 2. Also, it's good to see MAG doing well because it is truly an innovative FPS.

Cloud, on the one hand I agree with you: I wasn't interested in Mass Effect 2 (I played the first one, did a lot of things right but too many things wrong for me to get the sequel), but I am going to get FFXIII. It's a two-way tie between FF II and FF III, the originals, not the American SNES versions of II and III which we all know were really IV and VI since those were two of the best.

Mass Effect 2 is a Third Person Shooter not a First Person Shooter. Still a shooter but not a FPS ... Mag on the other hand is a FPS. You go pew pew pew in both of them but they are played from different perspectives.

Not to nitpick, but in the post, you shouldn't capitalize "Batarian" in "Batarian flu". Species names aren't to be capitalized, even alien races. You wouldn't say we're Human, or you have a pet Dog. Mass Effect is one of the few sci-fi setting that properly decapitalize race names.
