Well if my constant attempts to complete the game on Insanity seem to suffer without the Shotgun, I may have to hold off and try it out with the new shotgun ;)

I'm thrilled this is free. All the more reason to come back and play it a 3rd, 4th and... well, who knows how many more times.

This is a game I want 100% completion on, no matter what it takes.

Insanity seems to be only troublesome at the beginning, probably because I didn't have enough skill points at lower levels.

I finished ME1 on Hardcore like 10 hours before I got ME2 so I figured I'd be able to handle it on Insanity. It literally took me like 5 hours to do Jack's recruit mission.

Goddamn EA, already starting to nickel and dime the buyers of Mass Effect 2. Why would you even need this stuff in the game? Are there not enough weapons and armor? Do you really need another one of each?

Kinda hard to nickel and dime consumers if you're giving them free stuff.

Oh, oops. Sorry that I didn't care enough to find that out. Well, it is good that it's free, but it's definitely not below EA to charge for even this.

@FartButtFace - For someone who didn't care enough to actually read the announcement, you sure seem to have a strong opinion about it.

You can't really blame anyone for seeing "EA" and automatically thinking "this will cost money".

it's this kind of thought process that makes politics into a circus. you see a few words and immediately begin ranting nonsensically without having considered what's being said.

You may be confusing this game with ME1 which had hundreds of armor and guns spilling out of every locker. The new game hardly has any.

It better not be armor that is unalterable like the special edition armor, dragonplate armor, and gamestop & best buy armor.... I got the special edition and paid $10 on ebay thinking I'd actually like wearing them... Unfortunately they weren't customizable, and required that the helmet be worn 100% of the time..... I hope they come out with DLC that makes the rest of the armor just like the main set - interchangable, or at least the ability to take off the helmet or put it on via the pause menu (aka original Mass Effect).

Small beef, but one that will decide if I actually purchase this DLC or not. Shotgun sounds cool though.

Oh, also, does the extra ammo bonus hold more than the armor leggings that do the same thing?

Ahh, free is nice....

Still seems a waste to make cool armor you can't customize or even take off the helmet. I was wearing the Collectors armor when I first started playing and it made the dialogue scenes quite odd

I'm with you on the costumizable thing. On Ilium Shepard went in for a kiss wearing the Blood Dragon armor which seemed kind of awkward to me.

I hear you. I customize my armor several times during a playthrough and it was a bummer not to be able to go without a helmet in the Terminus armor and not being able to customize the armor itself.

Excited about the free goodies, and appreciative, but what I really want is a patch to let use DLC without the requisite head gear.

+1, very happy to see new items but I'm hoping for a toggle helmet option. My Shep is too sexy to keep hidden behind a helmet.

@radiantviper You can just set the helmet to be off in your cabin on the Normandy, on the screen where you customize armor.

That's only for the normal armour, not special armours (I have Collector, Blood Dragon, and Terminus - helmets are mandatory on all of them). Presumably this new armour will be the same.

Ya I dont know how that managed to get past the testing phase. Who wants to use armor like this when you cant take off your helmet during the talking parts? This is one of the most common complaints, I dont believe that none of the people playing this game during testing didnt get annoyed by that. It would have been such an easy fix during development, who knows if its even possible to patch in now.

Ok, slightly off-topic, but if anyone's going for paragon and sees the reporter from the first game on the citadel, do not try to end the interview with RT. Bad things happen.

Or, better yet, save the game really quick, do the RT action, lol at the ridiculous shit that just happened, then load your save game.
