same here. Dante's Inferno & Star Ocean International.

I do like the first Bioshock though, only that I know I won't have time for Bioshock 2 for a while.

Yeah if you didn't like the first one, I don't want you in the new multiplayer complaining about it. So everything works out.

Still have a bunch of games to get to that I already bought, but picking up the Collector's Edition of Bioshock 2 this week. I totally intend to pick up Dante's Inferno after I work down the number of games I have already.

I'm still skeptical of Bioshock 2. I was such a huge fan of the first one that I know I'm going to get it eventually, but I think I'll wait till a bit after launch.

And I'll probably get Dante's Inferno as well. Though I've been playing so much NMH2 that I'm not sure if I need another slasher right now.

I hope the Heavy Rain demo ends up being good. I've been skeptical of the game but hopefully it'll shine when I actually get a chance to play it.

The fight scene in the Heavy Rain demo is the only interesting thing about it. Honestly its just a bunch of quick time button presses and some awkward walking. Theres nothing about the demo that would make me want to throw down $60.

All the information released on it so far in terms of reviews (four of them) say that it's an amazing game. It'll probably settle in somewhere in the low 90's when all is said and done if this is any early indication. See my post below for the link.

the demo is good....but it doesn't show you the depth of consequences for your actions as its not that long....

"For many people Heavy Rain won’t be more than a progression of quick-time-events, but for me this game has everything a great game needs. The thrilling story, the beautiful graphics and the innovative controls will let you play on and on, till you just can’t look any longer into your TV."

I loved the demo. Yes, there were some quick time events, but I thought it was done really well. And how else would you expect the fight scenes to go? If they built an engine for the fights then they would have to use that throughout the game taking out variety.

Wait, how can the guy say it's just a bunch of QTEs, but then say it has innovative controls?

Dark Wayne, did you play the demo? It's a lot easier to understand what he meant by that if you have actually played it.

@Batman

I haven't played the demo myself but I guess what he means is the way the QTEs are used are whats innovative about the controls. They aren't your fathers QTEs if you know what I mean. Watch the leaked shower scene and you'll see just how crazy your reaction time has to be in the sequences.

I wouldn't say it's really a "crazy reaction time" sort of thing, you just have choices. Like in that shower scene when she was cornered, you could either choose to tackle the guy on the left or the right, and it would play out accordingly.

To peep on the girl in the shower , turn to page 56.
To close the door and wait in the living room, turn to page 60.
To masturbate furiously close the book, return to this page when done, then choose one of the above.

Only one of those choices offers any meaningful choice of activity. Choose your own adventures died out for a reason.

Yeah. I don't mind the whoke "actions have consequences" thing in games, as long as each path you take in the game is as awesome as the next... However, I don't think it should be the crux of the game. Super skeptical of Heavy Rain, but I won't make actual judgements before playing it for myself lime tma-

I agree with Levi about your actions having consequences being the center of the game. It seems to me like Heavy Rain is a game supposed to be driven on story. Which makes me think, if you have the ability to kill all the main characters off within a few hours of playing, were they really that important? I feel like there are two possible results. One is that no matter what you do with your playable characters it has little impact on the overall story arch and thus is unimportant and trivial. The other is that it majorly changes the story. This I would consider an awful thing. It means that every playthough will have a different story, and some will be better than others. So if my first playthrough of Heavy Rain is a bad one, why would I want to play it again? If the story of the game allows you to let it fall apart, is it really that great of a story? And if your actions and choices don't change the outcome of the game, are they even worthwhile?

Storytelling has always been linear. While Shag was being troll-y his point is indeed valid.

I think I need to take a break from Fallout 3 this week. I've begun a habit where if I come across a side-quest that I don't find to be enjoyable; instead of leaving it, and coming back later, the NPC just gets a face full of high-speed projectile junk. The Nuka-Cola girl met a poetic end just yesterday. Death by Nuka-Cola truck.

Thinking I should bench the game for a while and finally unwrap Mario & Luigi 3.

Probably just the Heavy Rain demo for me!

Speaking of Heavy Rain, anyone catch this (Not Safe For Work) leaked shower scene? http://www.jeuxvideo.com/extraits-videos-jeux/0000/00004460/heavy-rain-une-douche-et-au-lit-hd.htm

The game is also doing good thus far, with only four reviews in, with a 95 average on Metacritic: http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/ps3/heavyrain?q=heavy%20rain

Anyway, that'll be my next and last purchase of February which should give me time to beat Darksiders, White Knight, Bayonetta and Heavy Rain until God of War and Final Fantasy release next month. Thats where I'm focusing my energy at the moment. Finish these awesome games I have, pick up Heavy Rain and then trade or sell Bayonetta & Darksiders towards the purchase of God of War and Final Fantasy.

I wasn't really aware of that. I've been out of town most of the weekend and must have missed that news or forgot about it. Do you need an EU PSN account or is a US one fine? I might do it just to play it early because I'm so amped for the game.

(Which are the small cigarette butt, coffee shop c, tire track 117H, and origami bird)

You'll get a code that you have to redeem on a EU account.

Mass Effect 2 second play-through with a renagade, female Shepard. When is the DLC coming out?

Playing some Dragon Age as well.

Picked up MAG and was pleasantly surprised. Everyone seems to playing as sver. Is there a particular reason for that? I picked sver myself.

One reason could be that SEVR basically owns all the contracts except on one game mode (the vehicle one - last I checked anyway) where Raven owns 2/3 contracts. It could also be because SEVR are the coolest looking faction, I don't know. I was SEVR in the Beta but picked Raven as my faction in the actual game. Once you get to level 60 you can change factions and keep all of your stats and rank points.

Bioshock 2 (got the special edition on its way from Amazon for 360) and Blaster Master for me. That should tide me over till Aliens VS Predator comes out. I am still in the middle of Darksiders on PS3 as well. I'll get to Dante's Inferno sooner or later.

With so many good games released, I have to work extra shifts to make more money for them. Then I have no time to play them. Which is better can't afford them, or cuddle with them to sleep at night but no time to play them? Or who needs to sleep anyway I'm gonna play them and be a zombie at work the next day(s)?
