Clearly they made the heads bigger, not for stylistic reasons, but because the iPhone screen is tiny, and it would be more difficult to tell the difference between zombies at their normal size. This at least makes them more recognizable quickly on such a tiny display, though I did prefer them more... proportionally correct.

I grabbed a copy of this through Steam and between this and Peggle, PopCap have got the addictive simple gameplay formula in the bag.

Pop Cap is now a premier developer in my eyes. They might make what most would call "casual" experiences, but because they are designed that way, they have many strengths. You can play their games for 10 minutes, or 1 hour, and they are accessible meaning you don't have to focus on them entirely.

The reworked HUD area makes it look like it will work perfectly. I wonder if the depth of the game will change or be skimmed back at all. My fiance has spent hours playing through all the challenges and extra material well after finishing the adventure mode.
The good part in all this? With all the great games releasing these next few months, she'll have something to distract herself with while I game. Go me!
Thanks PopCap!
