Square Enix has applied to trademark Deus Ex: Human Revolution in Europe (#008862153). A quick scan of other international trademark bureaus hasn't revealed anything similar. As Siliconera notes, it could very well be the official name for the upcoming Deus Ex 3, but that may simply be a conspiratorial assumption based on logic.
Information on Deus Ex 3 is still quite scarce, with the little tidbits we do know highlighted by Square Enix handling CG cinematcs and that whole PC-exclusivity kerfuffle. Hopefully, this trademark signals that the Deus Ex prequel is ready to pull back the fiber-optic curtain.

Sounds good. I'm desperately hoping for a media blowout very soon. This could either be: Watered down shit, or a truly amazing FPS.

Deus Ex was an FPS though.
I should probably rephrase that as RPS. (Role Playing Shooter).
And no, Fallout 3 doesn't count as that because the gunplay in that game was shit. You needed VATS big time.

If Mass Effect 2 is considered an RPG, so is Deus Ex. It had far more RPG elements than ME2, along with more open-ended missions.

Speaking of that PC-exclusivity thing, it says in
Nice Classification:
List of goods and services:
"games for mobile phones"
so I'm guessing there's something for phones then.

Because the original Deus Ex was ported over to the PS2 with not many problems. The reason the game might be "dumbed down" is because of the game designers, not the consoles' limitations.
When a PC gamer talks about dumbed down, they are talking about how you can play the game with less buttons rather than using 3 key presses to reload. Game developers are in the business of making money, and the best way to make money is by making your games for a wider audience.

As long as they follow the lead of the first game I'll be happy. The second was painful to play after experiencing the awesomeness of the original.

Some PC games don't port well control-wise.
Anyone who's played Oni on the PS2...the only button it doesn't use is L3.

It'd be cool if DE3 played like ME2. *gets chased away by RPG nerds*

I'm sorry, this is Deus Ex we're talking about, not Dante's Inferno. It has its own unique gameplay and structure, thank you very much.

Too bad it's Squire Enix
a company known to make J-style (turn-based/action-bar-thingy combat and all that other jazz) RPGs with anime graphics and next to nothing else.
You can slap me when it turns out to at least live up to the first Deus Ex game and retain the same style.

You can read the part where it says that Square Enix are responsible for the cinematics?
Eidos is handling the game bits as far as I know.

I've got high hopes for this. Invisible War is a pretty low bar to jump from so this should at least surpass that game with ease. I don't expect it to be as great as the original classic, but one sure can dream!
