I remember buying a Dreamcast at a thrift store for 20 bucks in 2000.

They just kept getting Dreamcasts and games that sold for $2.

This isn't that big of a deal. I found plenty of deals in local Goodwill store, you just have to catch them at the right times.

I once found wireless Xbox 360 controllers there for 20 bucks apiece (brand new). I bought a Monster HDMI cable off of a TV that was donated there for $5 for my PS3.

People need to check your local Goodwill and other organizations. Normally the people that shop at Goodwill are not interested in stuff like that and if you make a purchase it's going to a good cause.

Thats still waay too much.

C'mon Goodwill, lower that to 20 and you got yourself a deal!

But I've found tons of deals at goodwill and other thrift shops. Just recently about 12 EU Star Wars books for .25 cents a piece. And Earthbound and Megaman x3 for 3 bucks a pop.

I don't get why this price drop is such a shock - DJ Hero was available for way below the RRP before Christmas, but just because Tony Hawk's Ride isn't a good game means that we can make fun of it for being available for "cheap"?

My local goodwill had a used Tony Hawk Ride... I could go back and see if they still have it. (59.99) I laughed when I saw it and walked away slowly... I then checked out the Genesis games.

On a similiar note, used copies of DJ Hero are starting to pop up at GameStops. They're $60 even with the turntable. Almost a $50 price cut.

I picked up 2 copies of Modern Warfare 2 for the 360 for $30 apiece at my local Goodwill. One was slightly scratched, but the other was pristine. What was nice was they let me take a look at the discs before I bought them, AND they had a 30 day return policy provided I had the receipt and the barcode sticker they put on it was still on the box. Couldn't have asked for a better deal.

Target donates a ton of stuff (mostly returns) to the Goodwills in my area (and state, I would assume, based on things I've seen at Goodwills 100 miles or more away). The only thing I've ever picked up was a Wavebird back when the Gamecube was still current-gen for $10.

This game is actually already on clearance at Target stores. It's either 15% or 30% off. It will continue to drop until it is gone.
