Level-5 has surprises in store for Wii and PS3

Giving a speech at the deliciously-named C.C. Lemon Hall in Tokyo, Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino revealed that the developer has unannounced Wii and PS3 games in the works.

The developer's current lineup is heavy on DS and mobile titles (including Professor Layton games, Ni no Kuni, and Fantasy Life), with one known console game: the followup to the PS3 role-playing game White Knight Chronicles. One of the unnamed Wii titles could be Inazuma Eleven Break, a console soccer RPG whose platform was never specified. Dragon Quest X, whose Wii development was confirmed by Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii, but whose developer was never named, is also a possibility. But this is all conjecture, since Hino said nothing other than that there were some new Wii and PS3 games.

Hopefully the PS3 title isn't a sequel to White Knight Chronicles.

The sequel to White Knight Chronicles was already announced.

Its called "Shirokishi -Awakening of Light and Darkness-"

it even says in the post that they already announced the sequel. did you read the article at all or did you just read the headline?

Being someone who has actually played the game, I'm really looking forward to the sequel.

I'm sad that white knight did so poor, but only because 4 years ago, the trailers made it look sick.

The problem with WKC is that it IS "conventional". It doesn't have much to offer that other RPGs already offer. We waited 4 years for what seems like a really good looking PS2 game.

What ever happened to Ushiro and Danball Senki ? cancelled ?

It's funny how Final Fantasy is all on Playstation (and Xbox now) and Dragon Quest has been mostly on Nintendo hardware lately.

Two of the biggest RPG franchises from japan, separate from each other.

Jeanne D'Arc 2 on PS3 would make me the happiest man alive.

It was based on historic events...so I'm not sure they'd make a sequel. :\

dang apparently dark cloud 2 is hard to find now. i wanted to play it again to get rid of the imprint of total mediocrity White Knight Chronicles left in my brain.

I walked into a local gamestop and found 3 copies for 14.99 each. It's not THAT hard to find.

Rogue galaxy 2 please!

Sony should seriously consider buying out Level 5. They make great games and would be a strong force if they were exclusive to the PSP.

I will shit my self if it is Dark Cloud 3! one of the best RPG's ever! why cuz kids can play it!, plus it was pritty dam fun.

@Deathxrebirth: I remember reading about 2 years or so ago that Level 5 would work exclusively with Sony if White Knight sold well enough. I think this was referring to the big three (PS3, Wii, and X360) so it would exclude the handheld market but I'm not sure. Professor Layton belongs on the DS.

Personally, I effing love White Knight. It has it's flaws and somethings definitely needed to be adjusted for its follow-up but overall I find it to be a good game. Hell, I playing New Game+ right now, LOL. I honestly think if WKC came out around 2006 or 2007 for all regions it probably would've been reviewed better by critics but that's just an idea.

I just hope it doesn't take 2 years for the sequel to be localized after it's released in Japan.

I think I saw a mysterious girl with long green hair and wearing a straitjacket at C.C Lemon Hall. Had a strange penchant for prominently displaying her butt.
