There's no doubt about it -- Q-Games head Dylan Cuthbert is very much interested in making more content for the latest in the PixelJunk series of games, PixelJunk Shooter. When he spoke recently to G4TV, Cuthbert said, "for PixelJunk Shooter we still have a ton of ideas on the drawing board and the engine has lots of potential we want to use before moving onto our next idea." He also teased the possibility of a full-on sequel, front-loading his last statement with, "normally sequels are just a re-hashing of the ideas in the original."
Given the PixelJunk's all-over-the-place history with DLC and re-releases and Encore versions, we poked Cuthbert for clarification. When we asked which of the aforementioned options we might see for PixelJunk Shooter, Cuthbert told us: "It hasn't been decided yet, as it depends on how much content we end up making. Whatever we end up making, though, it will be even better than the first installment with loads of new stuff. (Obviously I know what some of that stuff is, but I can't say -- all I can say is that fans will be extremely pleased.)" So, there you have it, folks! We're gonna see ... umm ... something else from Shooter.

Definitely. I love everything Pixeljunk and Q-Games is a fantastic developer, but online co-op should be implemented. I think they are missing a huge opportunity.

I'm all for co-op as long as we can't hurt each other...my lava spraying gets pretty wreckless

They should try making co-op only maps as well, like maps that require both ships to have different powers to solve clear the level.
Just imagine spraying lava into the air as your partner shoots it with water and forms a fancy blockade to trap some other element!

Are you crazy? Lava fights where the best part of the game!
This was the first game I bought when I got my PS3 not too long ago. I didn't stop until I beat it 100%.
The end basically said there would be a sequel though, didn't it? Or is that just a Pixel junk thing? I'm new to this PS3 stuff.

While I enjoyed Shooter, I don't think it got anywhere near its full potential. It felt like it spent so much time introducing everything that by the time I got to the end of the game, I felt almost as if I only played a tutorial and now I was ready for the real game that uses all of those things that I've just encountered in some crazy puzzle like caverns.

No, they never do direct sequels of PixelJunk games. Go check out PixelJunk Monsters and Eden, I guarantee you'll like them more.

Is it possible to have brackets in a quotation? Did he say that really quietly or something? lol

He said it as an aside to the audience, obviously.

Probably replied via email, forum post, comments on a PR/news post on their site, etc. Main thing being it was most likely a text response though.

What?! We're not going to be super pissed about it? I don't care then.

Why should I be bothered to make an overseas account just to have access to someone game dev's advertising? I'll wait for a US PSN release.

Oh yea I'm not bashing you or anything, thanks for the heads up. I'm just annoyed with developers not properly supporting their games with demos. It's even more annoying to find that it's not because of the development cost of the demo, but that they just haven't bothered to release it in every region.

This game was way too short. PJ Eden gave me hours upon hours of gaming, while SHooter was only like 2 hours or something.
I kind of feel ripped off as it is, so I will not be purchasing PJS 2.

I'm having the opposite problem with Gravity Crash. The time I take for each level is well over an hour, sometimes multiple hours. I'm a completist, admittedly, and I'm also restarting levels whenever I lose a life due to the expectation of punishing difficulty (i.e., will need lots of spare lives) at the end, based on how hard it's been getting on the way there. With 35 levels, it's looking like several hours per day will get me to the end of the game after about a month of straight playing. That's just the campaign, not the really interesting stuff (playing the user levels, making my own). I honestly didn't think a $10 game would suck up this much time, assuming I don't just give up in despair.
