As for the trailer itself, it looks pretty good, right? Not a ton of gameplay, but it certainly rams home the creepiness and the importance of light in combat. Here's hoping we get some more details when the trailer is shown for real later today.

SMACK right into that guy. This looks a lot better than I had even hoped. After the E3 demo last year I thought it was just going to be another super long development game that disappoints ala Too Human. Glad to be wrong

Alan Wake has never been delayed for god's sake! The release date has always been WHEN IT'S DONE until E3 2009 it was changed to SPRING 2010, and now May 2010.

Not trying to be awkward, but it looks like a poor mans heavy rain mixed with some Fallout-esque killing sequences using a lazer pistol.. or something.

I must admit this game looks great.
Having said that I also have to point out that it looks a lot like Alone in the Dark, and the setting is very reminiscent of Silent Hill.

Man, I'm still super-psyched about this game. Can't wait for it to come out. Hope it's as great as the Max Payne series was.

i have warmed a lot to this game. i am always excited for a horror game as long as it has a good story and quality controls. since this is the same developer who made Max Payne- i think it's probably safe to assume that this will play like a quality 3rd person action game. i'm hopeful that the game lives up to expectations because it's been so long in the making- lord knows that MS needs more quality exclusives this year. i have a feeling that this one will be pretty great :)
