Final Fantasy XIII Special Edition Xbox 360 Bundle includes 250GB hard drive, will cost $399

Well now that I know that there is no limited edition ffxiii ps3 coming to the states, I will pick up a ps3 bundle from costco.

They should include the faceplate. I like the HDD, though. They should start doing this with all of their bundles. If you're buying a bundle for a specific game, you're obviously a fan, and it would be nice to have the console reflect it.

I'm actually watching the video right now on my 360. Why no custom artwork.

as for them getting PS2 FF fans good luck with that....I know a CHUNK of them that bought a PS3 at launch in anticipation of FF13....I'm still guessin the sales of FF13 will be damn near neck and neck on both syste,s

Its a nice faceplate (not PS3 LE nice but nice) but this still seems wrong. FFXIII is a PS3 game and there is noting MS can do to change that. Its just strange to see S-E siding with MS so much especially after FF 13's debut on PS3 in Japan. Also its really a DH move for MS to make sure the Lightning console never makes it over here. Most Playstation owners already hate them this is just more fuel to the fire.

No matter how you want to spin this 360 having this title is odd, out of place and screams "I bought my way in". so souless, so corporate and on top of it shows how MS and Xbox have no real image they are just a Playstation knock off. or at least thats how they makes them selves look.

Also I still dont see this pushing FF13 sales higher on 360, its got a 1.8+ mill gap to fill before it even gets started. Also I seriously doubt a PS2 owner "holding out" is going to pick a 360, especially since its getting a version that is inferior in both graphics and sound quality.

trade in my elite for a mw 2 250gb hhd ,now it seems i may just have to buy this one outright.lucky i have no major bills coming up .now if they make a splinter cell or Mass Effect3 bundle 250gb, am gonna have plenty of 360 for almost each roomof the house.sweet please make it happen MS.

Also including four disks stacked on top of each other... or you could just go with the one disk....oh I don't know decisions, decisions :/

Well.. when you say a game is going to be ps3 exclusive in E3 of 2006, stick to your guns, don't flip flop. (and I believed them.)

When you then say the game is multiplatform outside of Japan and that you want both versions of the game to be "equal" in North America, no advantage that one would have over the other, stick to your guns, don't flip flop.

This... is not the fault of Microsoft. This is Square-Enix in all their lying out their a$$ glory. What other company acts like this?

I do take this a bit personally, not because it's not exclusive to ps3 and what not. It's because I'm tired of being lied to.

You insist on making this bundle and still saying (straight from the horse's mouth) that you want each version to be equal in NA? Then I want the f*cking original Japanese Dialogue that a blu-ray can hold, w/ subtitles. Or, I want some sort of exclusive to ps3 free DLC w/ a collector's edition. If you aren't able to provide that, then a ps3 bundle for North Americans as well.

I apologize for this rant but I'm just f*cking sick of this double standard or this little agenda that SE keeps pushing. Patting loyal fans who want to play it on playstation on the back w/ one hand while stabbing them in the back w/ the other. Every single thing they have done since they've announced FFXIII has just made me more and more irate as a customer of both SE and Sony. Nothing against the xbox, before people start calling me a fanboy. I love the games I own for it as well and if 360 were the only system this was coming out for I'd say "fine. I understand why they want to do that." But SE's trademark is becoming "say one thing and do another." I'm sick of it.

It's not a bad deal. Saves you a few bucks and a decaled HD is better than a completely Plain Jane xbox..

Let me guess, by buying the bundle, you can enjoy playing FF13 out of the box with the lovely COMPOSITE cable and invite one of your friends to hold the other controller while watching you play. Wow, really? It's nice to see a bundle like this, but I think MS/Squenix can do better. Like the PS3 bundle in Japan, they should put an artwork or something on the sides of the console, and bundle the special faceplate instead of trying to squeeze more money from the fans. That would make this "special bundle" feel more special, instead of a standard console with a game and an extra controller tossed in. Oh, and maybe an HDMI cable would be great too.

I have both an Xbox 360 and a PS3 system. But I prefer to buy multi-platform games on the PS3, because the Xbox 360 system has well over a 55% failure rate, (mainly due to overheating issues after a number of hours of gameplay). So until Microsoft can find a way to make a system that is more likely to not crash and dysfunction, I'm sticking with PS3 version.

Does anyone, who bought the 360 edition of the game, know if it has a special FFXIV limited offer?
