Thanks to the Summer of Arcade, we've been conditioned to compulsively check Xbox Live Arcade during the hottest months of the year. But it would seem that March is the new summer, since that month now plays host to the XBLA Block Party announced during Microsoft's X10 event today.
So, what do you have to look forward to? Well, Toy Soldiers kicks things off on March 3. If that doesn't grab you, don't worry, it'll be followed throughout the month by Scrap Metal, Perfect Dark and classics hub Game Room. Also, if it's anything like every block party we've ever been to, cocktail weenies will also be served. So that's something.

Fantastic! I'm very much looking forward to Game Room.
Less for the community aspects than for the actual games, mind you- but I'm quite excited nonetheless.
(And Perfect Dark will also be a Day One, I kinda miss it.)

I'm still not completely sold on Game Room, but the rest all sound pretty sick!

Interesting that the Xbox.com page says Perfect Dark is now eight players online, wonder how that will go over. Can't wait for it though, still pull it out from time to time for split-screen. Counter-Ops returning is sure to be good fun, hopefully that's the mode with 8 player support.
Toy Soldiers looks absolutely brilliant too!

I noticed that update a day or two ago! I'm really excited to play with up to 8 people. I love how this game never really had campers. Sniping is (or was with the 64 controller) really difficult

Well, you used to be able to play with 4 players + bots (er, simulants...), so it shouldn't go all that much differently than the game went before.

wait a second, i was under the impression game room was a pay to play philosophy , like a real life arcade (25 cents gets you a play). is that how perfect dark will be since it's part of this?

Also, the .25 per play is just one of many options for a method of payment for The Game Room

@Ben
Aww I forgot about the farsight... Then the Farsight, Pheonix SuperDragon and the almighty N-BOMB. There's soo many guns to use in this game. I can't wait...
I'm gonna pull an Eric Cartman and freeze myself in time...

Here's the weapon list for Perfect Dark. I wonder if they're still including the 007 weapons?

So, just last years Spring of Arcade renamed? As long as PD doesn't get delayed again, they can call it "XBL Circle-Jerk" for all I care.

My friends and I used to play N-Bomb/melee matches. They were so much fun. You could never see anything

What's happened to Joy Ride? That ever coming? Or they stealing ideas from ModNation Racers... cause it'd be cool if they'd take their track editor idea.
