You're going to watch the above trailer (dubbed "The Law") for Rockstar's upcoming Red Dead Redemption regardless of what we say about it here, so we thought we'd try a little experiment: Don't watch it! That's right, don't watch it ... instead, close your eyes and just listen to it. The voice acting oscillates between excellent and simply serviceable and the dialogue sounds historically appropriate; but the music ... the music is where this trailer sets itself apart. It's like Ennio Morricone himself took the gig. So sling your poncho over your shoulder, close your eyes, and pull the trigger on that play button.

Damn this game is looking so sick. Between LA Noire & Red Dead Redemption this could be a fantastic non GTA year for Rockstar.

I know people are bashing MP3 because it's not MP looking, but maybe the Bully team went back after all the negative feedback? Could explain why we've heard nothing about MP3.. Maybe Rockstar told them to hold off so they could work on Bully 2.. God I hope so.
And of course Liberty City's manual noting at a new GTA on the horizon.

Forgot about Max Payne 3! Damn they've got a loaded year if all those release. Yes, I'd say Red Dead Redemption is a potential GOTY candidate, but thats just preliminary talk based on the amazing trailer they've released. Some of the best promotional trailers ever have been for this game in particular the history channel like documentary one.

Uhhhh.... honestly, does anyone on Joystiq have any clean pants after this?
I just hope there's a slightly greater of variation (in terms of missions and characters) as there was in GTA 4. Oh, and supported with DLC. That too. Great looking game, can't wait for April.

Oh, yeah. The characters I saw in the video were amazing- with even better voice acting and mood. I just want a few more XD. I'm sure there are- this is just a tid-bit like Rockstar always does.

I'm very excited for this game. I especially like how there is quite a bit of influence drawn from the spaghetti westerns.
Only minor thing was it seemed like there was a little frame-rate stutter at points, but that may have just been my computer.
