I'm sure someone answered you in later comments, but...yes, you can choose, if you still have that code. It works for either system, regardless of what system's game it came with.

Never look at a gifted horse in the teeth... Its free sans the "$4.99" s/h, which in my book its "Epic Win"

Kudos to Vigil and THQ for running the sweetest bonus ever. Darksiders is a fantastic game, and now even happier with my purchase. I woulda been happy if this was some kinda lame dlc or rare costume... but they out did themselves on it.

And for those saying this is some kind of promo to drum up more sales, think about it. This game has been out for a month and a half now, it's now up against some of the most anticipated titles for years, and no one knew anything about what this code even was until now. If anything it's a hell of a thank you for supporting a game that wasn't really known and made by a new company.

That sounds great. But my code didn't work when I entered it. Said Invalid Promo Code. I entered it with dashes and without. With caps and without. Still no luck.

Worked for me, code needs dashes and has to be in all CAPS. Also it is a 0 on the paper not the letter O.

I've been having the same exact problem. I've tried with and without dashes, capitalizing and lower casing, O's and zeros; nothing.

Now I'm waiting on a reply from the THQ store's customer service.

I think so, since Canada should still be part of the same North American regional format. I...can't say I'd fully doubt that Canada would enforce the same regional format as the UK despite geographical separation, but I don't expect that is the case. You should be fine ordering a US Darksiders.

Although...they might have issue when you submit a Canadian address to ship to. Do you have an American pal you can trust to send it along?

How do you know if your copy has a code or not? I want to get this only cause I want Red Fraction for only $5 but unsure if I'll get a code or not.

It's in the case in front of the instruction manual. If your copy has one you can't miss it.

that's really awesome! pry the best thing i've ever received for picking up a game early. i've wanted to go back to RF for awhile now.

haha i also traded in darksiders after beating it a few weeks ago, but at the last minute pulled the code out and placed it on my bookshelf thinking "eh..just in case."

glad i did!

I bought my copy today used from Gamestop before i knew about the code. They had 2 boxes, I looked through them, one had the code (as w ell as the harvester code) the other had neither. I took the one with the codes, figuring the harvester one at least would work, but the other may likely have been redeemed already. But score! It hadn't been. Lucky coincidence for me, I just happened to buy it today (Well gamestop dropping the used copy down to $34.99 MAY have had something to do with it....

I got a code in a copy I bought new in Canada as well, which seems odd if the offer is US only. (Of course, a lot of the time US only seems to mean Canada too, for some strange reason.)

Luckily my wife lives in the US, so I can have it shipped to her address.

I got RF:G free on PC, but a second console copy more than makes me happy. I bought Darksiders on its own merits, with no expectation of a free gift. Just the downloadable artbook would have made me happy, but this was an amazing bonus.

THQ are going up in my estimations, no longer just crappy wrestling and Nickelodeon games.

Darksiders is on sale at Gamestop this weekend for $40. I picked up a new copy and was lucky enough to get a code.

My game had an orange "10 out of 10" sticker on it. I saw other copies without it. Just a guess but maybe that can help you identify which games have a code in them.
