having not listened to this edition of the world's most glorious podcast, i have a feeling bioshock 2 is going to get slammed in some way, shape, or form. Such a great game. It's a shame it's getting bashed because it's a sequel. I enjoyed it very much. And the multiplayer is pretty good, to boot.

The show notes is missing link for the fart soundboard Chris so eloquently demoed in the intro! The intro made me laugh hysterically. Bug zap was my favorite.

Seriously Chris, please share the link.

I thought I'd give this podcast another chance. Didn't make it past the first minute this time. I honestly don't know how people can listen to this crap. When you compare Adam Sessler's soapbox and the G4 Feedback podcast to this, it's almost laughable. Why anyone would care what Justin McElroy thinks about a game is beyond me. He doesn't sound any more knowledgeable about games than your avg Gamestop customer.

Other podcasts have intelligent discussions about specific topics. This is just three guys rambling for an hour. It's so boring. Time is too precious.

Hey Marty,

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the show. But hey, you gave it a try twice and what more can I ask? It didn't jive with your taste and that's totally OK, there are a few people on the site who really enjoy it. I hope you find some other stuff on Joystiq that's more to your liking. You might want to give the 360 Fancast a try, those guys put on a great show.

Frankly, it's a little hard to judge for not being able to make it past this week's first minute it was, well, pretty brutal. Take care.

Hey Doc,

Trust us, nothing would make us happier. But with the call spanning the globe, this Skype quality is the best we can do. We have, in the past, had everyone separately record their audio, but we've had a lot of problems with that in the past.

Hopefully you can push through the audio quality to enjoy the delicious lolz within.

Regardless of my agreement/disagreement with you fella's on any particular game or topic I confess that this is my favorite podcast on the interwebz. Now, my experience is generally limited to the realm of game-related casts but seeing as how I listen to and enjoy about 10 different shows on a regular basis I'm speaking from a place of power here. The dynamic between the three hosts is unique and I find the conversations (moreso the non-game realted ones) hilarious. The "Watcha' been sanding?" segment from a few weeks back had me rolling to the point of tears. Love you guys to death.

Excited, as always, for the Joystiq Podcast, but nervous about more Mass Effect 2 talk. Lately I've been skipping large chunks of both the Bombcast and the Joystiq Podcast to avoid too much info. I started playing Mass Effect 1 after reading Justin's review of ME2 (the first Bioware game I've ever played), so I have a save to port over, and I'm still only halfway through. I know the guys won't get too "spoiler-y", but if ME2 is really the best game ever made (or up there), then I'd like to discover it for myself, and that includes discovering the aspects of the game that wouldn't be considered spoilers normally.

Hey Spoony,

It's dependent on a lot of factors like when we start, how long it takes me to edit and how many stories we have going up before the podcast (which typically take higher priority). I promise, I always try to get it out as early as possible though.

If you follow my Twitter feed (@justinmcelroy) I'll usually post the show as soon as it's done so sometimes you can find it there before it's on the main page.

Hope that helps!

As for your MAG discussion, its simple, if you have friends playing it or friends that will be playing it, join the same faction. MAG would not work if there were no factions. It would be like every other game where you feel like a win/loss means absolutely nothing at the end of the day.

Hey, Mr. McElroy have you read Destructoid's review of Heavy Rain?
I was initially really pissed off at it but after playing the demo, I sort of agree with them.

thanks Justin.

the last time I listened to your podcast, you guys were talking about what games everyone was playing. Ludwig was playing Mini Ninjas. You laughed and said, "blah why?" Now first of all Mini Ninjas is actually pretty fun (casual Nintendo style fun). But second, I would expect that comment from an avg gamer, not someone who considers themselves a "professional reviewer." I happen to think Adam Sessler is the most intelligent voice in the gaming industry right now. Next to him and his podcast crew, you guys sound like children with your farting soundboards and your ordinary opinions.

cheers!

I was almost certainly joking about that, but if I thoughtlessly made fun of a game you really liked I totally get why you wouldn't want to listen to us. If it's just the fart thing putting you off though, I promise we don't do that every week. Ah well, win some, lose some.

Thanks again for visiting!
