According to gaming news site Strategy Informer, Microsoft finally dismissed the possibility of a PC port for Remedy's upcoming episodic thriller, Alan Wake. An unnamed Microsoft representative reportedly told Informer, "some games are more suited for the intimacy of the PC, and others are best played from the couch in front of a larger TV screen. We ultimately realized that the most compelling way to experience Alan Wake was on the Xbox 360 platform, so we focused on making it an Xbox 360 exclusive."
We've contacted Microsoft to get our own first-hand confirmation of the report. We'll also try to find out why Alan Wake is so afraid of being "intimate." It's like ... just let us in, man.

If any console is ever released with a mouse and keyboard, that will pretty much be the death of PC gaming. Ever since I got my XIM360, I've been picking up shooters for my 360 instead of my PC. I still play strategy games and mmo's on my pc though. Oh, and flight sims. I have a head tracker for my pc games that support it, so usually racing games I play on PC. Oh and web games. There is that mod thing too. That's pretty cool. I love my PC. I don't want PC gaming to die. =(

No offense but this game looks better than Heavy Rain. And knowing the devs at Remedy and what they've done, I'm sold.

My xbox is hooked up to my monitor. I play at my desk. I guess I get to have an intimate experience with Alan Wake despite Microsoft trying to stop me. Our love is pure Alan! They'll never keep us apart!
