I agree it's a pretty random selection, but I always prefer they give us a bunch of varied songs rather than a whole country pack or a whole Megadeth album. I'm much more likely to find something I want if it's a mixed bag. Let Forever Be has one of my favorite music videos, so I'll probably get that.

YES! "Dreams to Remember" is a great classic. Funny thing, I remember hearing it in that movie with Corey Haim and Corey Fieldman "Dream a Little Dream." It was always on HBO and I would watch it cause it was on. I heard that song on there and had to find out what song it was. That's how I discovered Otis. Then I realized he was the same guy who sang "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay." I guess I owe thanks to the two Corey, which is pretty fn sad.

Hey, if it means discovering the likes of Otis that is well worth it. The man is a genius. And his ability to convey emotion through his vocals is just amazing. It's just a shame that more artists these days cannot do the same.

I find myself even liking songs I don't like. The experience makes it more fun. Some of this stuff I would never buy a CD or listen to it on the radio. But playing RB to it just makes it fun no matter what.

The Chemical Brothers? Really? How is that gonna work? Is the synth gonna be the guitar? I think The Boxer would've been a better track although that probably would've been harder to do.

Have you heard "Let Forever Be?"

Only thing I'd be worried about is the guitar. Lyrics, drums, and bass are just fine.

Granted, black musicians are under-represented in Rock Band, but Otis isn't the first for the series. It's great to see his stuff added, though. I hope we can get some more classic soul in the game. That's some amazing music.

Uh, yeah. I just felt like "Yes, Virginia, black people are really underrepresented in RB." just didn't have the same ring to it, Cap'n O.

Run the gamut is the right term. Never heard "run the gauntlet" as a phrase.

Man I'm excited about Otis Redding, I love having more songs that my family is familiar with. I love Rock Band and it’s a requirement that I bring it to any family function. We all like jamming to the rock songs on the game (especially anything by the Foo Fighters) but we've been dying to get more Soul in this game. I've already bought the James Brown song, Earth Wind and Fire, "Texas Flood" by Stevie Ray Vaughan, ABC and other soul songs. I even bought the Lego game for Word Up, Ghostbusters, Kung Fu Fighting and I’ll Be There. So I hope they keep this up, and they will keep getting my money.

""Texas Flood" by Stevie Ray Vaughan, ABC and other soul songs. "

uh...Texas Flood is not soul music. I love SRV. I'm learning Texas Flood on guitar. But Texas Flood is squarely a blues song, not soul. Now Sam Cooke? That's soul (well and gospel originally). James Brown? That's soul. SRV nope. All great artists though.

Texas Flood is a Blues song and Blues songs are associated with Soul. Steven Ray Vaughan is the only Blues songs on Rock Band so yes its Soul.

Brian Setzer was the original Stray Cat. He wrote the song. It's just his newer band re-recording it.

Otis Redding? I may have to buy it just on principal -- I love it when Harmonix releases quality tracks that they know don't possess mass appeal. It's taste over profit, I love it.
