Every store in my area of Ohio is completely sold out of PS3s. I was looking around to get one recently and had to go to Amazon in order to do so.

My 60gb bit the dust again, so it was time to look for a new 250gb slim. Not a single PS3 at my local Walmarts or Target. Even Best Buy only had two 120gb on their shelves.

Looks like maybe everyone needs to come to Hawaii to buy a PS3 (and get away from the snow.)

For what it's worth, my BB is out of Wii and PS3 120gb systems. Only a handful of 250s left.

We are being told the 120's are highly constrained. Only northern jersey has any 120gb units in stock, and only a select few stores.

@oldmanpip

you are right about those situations with supply and demand, however those are dealing with a shift in supply or demand. What is happening here is not that supply or demand has shifted in any way but that sonys recent price drop brought the console price below market equilibrium causing demand to overtake supply. in the long run this will probably be beneficial as it will generate fervor for the machine most likely and this can build while sony continues towards becoming profitable on ps3 sales.

"Low inventory."

This is what happens to the #1 console: Sony PS3.

I concur.

Oh cmon Sony Fanboys....we've seen SONY proclaim this before...

All it means is they are clearing out the old SKUs for new bundles or packages...most likely to coincide with God Of War 3 and FF XIII Bundles they will be releasing....

I don't mean to flame but - ModNation racers is one of the industry's most anticipated games? Garbage.

As I predicted...this isn't the PS3 selling out because of demand....it's SONY tooting its horn as it clears inventory for new SKUs
