We've exfiltrated these new Splinter Cell: Conviction screens from X10
16
Thanks to a hush-hush covert op, we've extracted a handful of new Splinter Cell: Conviction screenshots to whet your appetite. Oh, okay. They were just given to us during the X10 event in San Fransisco -- but we can dream, can't we?
With Splinter Cell: Conviction (finally) hitting stores this April, these images only serve to anger us at the game's numerous delays. Also, these images are so crisp, we're not even sure they are real. If they are, someone needs to do something about that that horrific green couch (above). That is so last year.

On that note, this game is going to be the balls! I'm so glad the 360 is going to have some good titles this year. Actually, a LOT of good titles. Last year made me a sad panda. :(

I agree at some point in time you have to ask yourself is this gritty realism worth it. The game colors are set into a range of dirt brown to smoke gray. Its like a collage of dirt, mud, and coffee. I rather have a wide range of colors. I a HDTV for a reason give me some flash to it. Not have the game seem like a mud fight,

When I saw them I couldn't tell if it was really well done concept art, scenes from trailers, or actual in-game footage.
Considering I'm a big fan of seeing fully colored concept art, if this game keeps this style up I think I'll be really impressed.

Looks great. Only ever really played a bit of Chaos Theory, never beat it though.
Is Double Agent the only current Splinter Cell game on the 360?

Yes, although Chaos Theory is the best in the series.

Double agent is on the 360 but all the past Splinter Cell games are backwards compatible. I'd say if you can go to a used game store see if you can get them for some cheap deals they are really sweet plus it can get you into the mix of story line of the series. See where Sam started out and how all these things changed for him.

Don't forget that if you want to play any of them online or download any DLC you have to act soon because Microsoft will be shutting down the servers for all the original Xbox games in mid April.

He creamed his pants and was going to use toilet paper to clean it up?
I mean, what else would he use, a few paper towels? Talk about rough! He should be using tissue paper with aloe vera though.

You can tell some of those are in game shots, the one that says "move to cover" is from the level shown at E3 which will be a tutorial level. The others you can tell are in-game as well, but they look very good. I am glad Ubisoft delayed it, the level of polish is really showing through. Definitely is shaping up to being one of the best looking titles this generation.

I miss the stubble he had in the first couple of games, i know they were trying to steer away from the emo/homeless look, but he just looks way younger than the previous games
