WRUP: Play with someone you love edition
Ah, Valentine's Day, a celebration of obligation and over-priced prix fixe menus at restaurants. If you're lucky, you can spend some time on the couch with someone you love and play some of these offline co-op games:
- 'Splosion Man
- House of the Dead: Overkill (Critics called it "f*@king good." Other critics called it "motherf*@king good.")
- LittleBigPlanet
- Halo 3: ODST
- Resident Evil 5
- Borderlands
- Fable II
- New Super Mario Bros. Wii
- Left 4 Dead 2
Got some more recommendations? Drop them after the break. What's everyone playing this weekend?
- Alexander Sliwinski (@XanderSliwinski): Still working through renegade playthrough of Mass Effect 2 on insanity. Also got BioShock 2. I have no idea what to expect, but I hear good things.
- Andrew Yoon (@scxzor): I've had so many setbacks for the past few weeks. But this weekend -- nothing, and I mean NOTHING will prevent me from playing Mass Effect 2. You hear me, God???
- Ben Gilbert (@BigBossBgilbert): Being that I just finished Mass Effect 1 this morning after 25 hours (!!), I'm of course going to dig directly into Mass Effect 2. 'CAUSE THAT'S HOW I ROLL.
- Christopher Grant (@ChrisGrant): I really need to hunker down and finish Mass Effect 2 ... you can't do a second playthrough if you're still on your first playthrough. That's science.
- David Hinkle (@DaveHinkle): I'm at the very end of Darksiders, so I'm looking to wrap that up this weekend. After that, it's all about No More Heroes 2 until Heavy Rain arrives on my doorstep.
- Griffin McElroy (@griffinmcelroy): Bayonetta's on its way from Gamefly, but while I wait for it to arrive, I'll be playing Dark Cloud 2. Ten bucks says I won't feel like switching over once it finally shows up.
- James Ransom-Wiley: I'm headed to a quiet "couples retreat" with Rock Band in tow!
- JC Fletcher (@jcfletcher): I'm going to keep playing more No More Heroes 2 until there's no more No More Heroes 2 to play. I probably could have said that in a less confusing manner.
- Justin McElroy (@JustinMcElroy): It's DoctorWife's first weekend off in months, so I'll probably be spending most of my weekend catching up on TV and being a good husband. If I get a free moment, it'll be Heavy Rain.
- Kevin Kelly (@gadgetguy): My girlfriend was stranded in Rhode Island due to Snowmageddon, and literally had to take a train, then a plane, then an automobile to get back to LA. I'll be spending time with her and sneaking in some MW2 and ME2.
- Ludwig Kietzmann (@LudwigK): I'll try to finish up Dirt 2's career mode (SHUT UP, DAVE MIRRA) and submerge myself in BioShock 2's lukewarm waters.
- Mike Schramm (@MikeSchramm): I'll be playing some Telltale Games on the show floor at Macworld 2010, since they just announced that they're bringing the whole library over. I've also brought my DSi along to the convention, so I'll be attempting to "capture every one" in Pokemon Diamond while traveling.
- Randy Nelson (@DangerPenguin) Another playthrough of Heavy Rain under my belt, I'm diving back into the the Mass Effect 2 universe. Wearing a space suit, of course. Otherwise, how would I breath in space? We've already seen what happens when you can't, and I don't have a Lazarus Project. (Got to get working on that!)
- Richard Mitchell (@SenseiRAM): I told myself I was going to power through Mass Effect 1 so I could start on the sequel. I promised I wouldn't do too many side quests. Yeah, that's not going to happen. My propensity to do every possible thing other than the main mission is just too strong.
- Xav de Matos (@Xav): I grabbed a copy of Call of Duty: World at War -- a game I skipped at launch -- so, I'll check that out. Also, I'm in the middle of BioShock 2 and waiting to get something else.
- Justin Glow (@justinglow): (Developing Little Sisters)
