A recently added hub page on the official Star Trek Online site has revealed that the nefarious Borg will soon make first contact with the MMO's players in an upcoming free content update, which will be rolled out over the next two months. The patch will add a series of high-level episodes (that's STO-speak for "quests") to the game which will throw players into a number of ground and space conflicts with the cybernetic species, leading up to a climactic raid encounter with the Borg Queen.
You can get an idea of the formidable foe you'll be facing off against in the video above and the gallery below. As a special protip from us to you, here's an instructional video which reminds prospective Borg-fighters exactly where the line must be drawn.

We are the Borg. Lower your shields and surrender your ships. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile.

Don't you destroy a Borg Cube in the tutorial? As I understand it, Borg Cubes are basically the final boss of Star Trek.

It was mostly already destroyed after having tons of ships thrown at it before you went in.

Maybe they should focus on fixing the literally hundreds of bugs in the game before they push out new content.

Well there are plenty of ppl in game who would say that content is a little more important. Though I have not reached the end, I hear there is a lack of things to do from higher lvl players. At LtC6, I have yet to run into any game breaking bugs. Very few are more than a slight inconvenience. In fact the only one I can think of is the bug that made me destroy the Doomsday machine twice.

I see the ignorant trolls are early this morn. I didn't thnk they crawled out of their caves until later.
Either this individual does not play the game and is merely parroting other ignoramouses because he is incapable of having an original thought...
...or he's one of those lovely people from our community who closes their eyes, sticks their fingers in their ears and yells, "La la la la la!!!" so they can continue being drama queens in the face of rapidfire patches with a plethora of new bugfixes in each.
Ah, but of course, a two hour downtime is absolutely unacceptable when applying a repair patch, which includes new content (in the first week of launch) as well, to the servers. How dare they deprive you of valuable playtime with a revolver held to your temple... ...as there could be no other reason why you would spend your lesiure time partaking in somethIng you loathe so utterly.
It's dreadfully inconvienient when those silly things called 'incontrovertible truths' get in the way of your whining.

...oh yes, in specific regards to the 'hundreds of bugs' statement... ...if that is the case, then they're doing 1000% better than a game that has millions more players and 5 years of polish:

I don't think we'll see anything like the 5th picture concept art making into the actual game.

Granted, this here is the Borg, but why is it that Every Single official video I have seen for that game has some weird music and a bunch of disconnected scenes of ships exploding and phasers (not even torpedoes) firing with crazy intensity. Not even a line of dialogue.
Is there an actual game here, or is that really all there is?

I was just thinking the same thing...
It would be nice if they'd take a page from Blizzard and release a nifty bit of machinima to preface each content patch.
