Sounds like it will add some more fun and the DLC is nicely priced.

That's good to know.. Haven't gotten around to it yet, and I was pretty worried. No interest in the multiplayer what so ever, and I would have felt incomplete by not getting the platinum just because I'm not into that.

I read on IGN i believe that the reason that multiplayer trophies weren't available at first was BECAUSE they wanted everyone to have a chance at platinum without online, Joystiq, work on your facts please :P

Yeah, GTA4 pissed me off with that a bit. Surely for getting 100% of the game plus various other miscellaneous achievements/trophies deserves a platinum, but no, you have to spend months in the multiplayer too.

That's good, I'm missing like 3 trophies but don't feel like playing it for like the third time at the moment, and don't give two shits about the multiplayer.

I can confirm this does not affect the platinum because it is a violation of their technical requirements. First off, trophies are not supposed to be included with anything free; this includes patches or DLC. Second, the trophies are [usually] rigorously tested to make sure that they aren't required to unlock the platinum after the update has been applied. At least, FPQA Foster City checked this. If there is anything wrong with the patch or DLC its all on San Diego to test it.

I tweeted @naughtydog and they replied: No, the new Trophies are not required to get the Platinum Trophy. you only need to complete those Trophies that came on disc.

YIPPIE. I like new trophies, but I'm not a major fan of MP items required for Platinums. Especially with games that are primarily SP.

No they are not. For instance even if you have 10,000,000 kills you will need to get 2500 kills after this patch is released to get that trophy.

I'm pretty sure since the trophies are connected to your online stats, rather than anything on the console itself, they will indeed be retroactive.

"Indeed, the dozen upcoming Trophies are meant to reward those who love getting their handguns wet in battle – although it should be pointed out that the Trophies aren't backwards compatible, so only your stats from Feb. 25th on will count."

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think trophies have ever been retroactive for any game, so I don't think that's ever going to happen.

Not to mention that they made sure that the only MP trophies that affect the platinum are ones in which you simply have to try it out. I really respect that of them, because I'm not a huge fan of MP trophies myself, but it's there if you love the MP mode (which really, they did a great job on), but if not, just try it out, and the platinum is still within reach, no sweat.

Nevertheless, Naughty Dog is doing this game some great justice in the quality of the game, even after release.

Never got into the multiplayer. The campaign was where the game shines. The MP felt to tacked on. No reason to play it with so many better, multiplayer focused titles out there.

Me neither. I've never stuck around long enough to "get good", so as result, whenever I do play it, it's a depressing mess....I'm that guy at the very bottom of my team's scoreboard sometimes.

I only played one or two games a few weeks ago (just to get the achievement) and I did surprisingly well. Like more than 15 kills every time and about half as many deaths. I'm big into MW2 (and formerly Halo 3), so it's possible it's just a multiplayer carry over, but there's a good chance I just got lucky.

And I *LOVE* how everyone on Joystiq mashes the downvote button the second they see something they don't agree with. They really need to give less weight to that system (or just ditch it completely). It's just tiring at this point.

Actually the mp in Uncharted 2 has a lot of depth and is very well done. I play the co-op modes often with my friends and have a great experience every time.

The core of the game is obviously the single player story but the multiplayer is hardly tacked on. They are constantly updating/tweaking multiplayer through live updates (not a patch) to make the experience better and more balanced. Naughty Dog is truly a great developer and delivers not only a quality product but a quality service as well.

I didn't think it felt tacked on. I thought it was really well done. Which surprised me, because of how big the focus is on the singleplayer experience.

That said, I didn't pay it online for more than a week, it was good but I'd still rather play Gears, MW2, TF2, or any of the other online shooters that are in my opinion much much better.

look at the price of the maps, $3.99 is pretty cheap compared to other games which charge more than double of that amount for MP DLC. I think most people will but it on the price alone.
